Remarks

It is the college which provides the biggest variety of courses ranging from sciences to management courses. You always have different options and the students need not to worry about the faculty and University.

Course Curriculum Overview

Being a first year student I can't say much about the same as I only attended one semester and then the lockdown happened. But what I can guess is it's more about practical teaching than a classic theory.

Placement Experience

I don't know much about what companies visit and who does not. What I know is that the interviews are open for all and there's no specific courses that get some brownie points.

College Events

Everyone eyes Delhi university for it's events/activities and students that are always up for one thing and another. College has more than 30 societies (too much than needed ) and stays active a lot of times. Special mention to dance and drama.

Campus Life

A typical Delhi university. Not like the north campus fancy but still not bad. Wifi and all are secondary ( though it doesn't work ) but library has a lot of room to develop itself, it's rules and stock. No comments about lab as I have no business there.

Good Exposure in Event Management Field

Placement Experience:

Placements at my college are average, students become eligible from around the 5th semester. A few companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in entry level positions. The average package is moderate, while higher package are limited. Around 70 to 80% of students get placed. I plan to focus on skill development and explore better opportunities after completing my degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course i am engaged is BA HONOURS ENGLISH in DAULAT RAM COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF DELHI, the course offered is comprehensive, interesting and detailed. The faculty of English honours department is fully supportive of the students, the faculty members do not just give theory or bookish knowledge but also help us improve our communication in English language. We have studied many areas of literature within the course offered- ROMANTIC LITERATURE, EUROPEAN LITERATURE, INDIAN LITERATURE, AMERICAN LITERATURE, DALIT LITERATURE AND EVEN REGIONAL LITERATURE TRANSLATED IN ENGLISH. The teachers also continuously conduct tests and examinations for improving the academics of the students

Aspects of the GGSIP University

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant as it contains useful concepts which a management student should know. And the concepts are very comprehensive and easy to understand. Examples are given in the curriculum which prepares us for the real world. Some teachers use the presentation based teaching which is good and should be encouraged. The exams are not that difficult for one who is atleast decent in studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Life in Kirori Mal College.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.

Consequences after getting admitted in DU

I gave the CUET exams to get my college. CUET exam is basically an entrance test for bachelors degree which eligibles you to all the central universities of India. You have to appear for four domain subjects that you have studied in your class 11th and 12th. You can apply for any course irrespective of it's connection with the subjects that you jave studied earlier. Based on your cuet score you will be eligible for different courses. The cutoff is really high for Delhi University starting from 600 for more most of the courses starting from the lower reputed colleges. You do get reservation benefits. The application form are generally out in the month of April. The exam has nothing to do with your class 12th percentage until you have passed the class. The only demerit I find is the late admission process. By the time you get the results of the exam, other top colleges' admission are done by then....Read More
