IIM Ranchi is arguably considered as the best institute among all the second generation IIM's established. The pedagogy that includes academics and other extra-curricular activities are very well presented and also known to the general informed public. The faculty stands amongst the best in the country, with support from IIM Calcutta as it's mentor IIM. The institute has grown in rankings and continue to do so, with a huge jump in NIRF rankings this year. This reflects on the efforts of the management, faculty and the entire alumni and student base towards making it one of the premier management institutes. Strong alumni network also acts a great role in overall reach. IIM Ranchi has also managed to stay strong due to its approach of being a student run institute. Corporate competitions have seen healthy and quality participation from the institute. The placements is another factor that has helped the institute grow leaps and bounds. There has a been a steady increase in the placement numbers from year on year. The number of new participating companies in the process have also increased, showing the credibility that it has gained. There a quite a few companies that have shown loyalty towards the institute, given the strong candidate base that it offers for placements. All in all, IIM Ranchi has managed to be credible and one of the premier institutes of the country with regular growth.

The course curriculum at the institute is very well prepared keeping in mind the corporate requirements. There is an overall student growth that is induced by the type of courses followed. Being an IIM, it takes advantage of the huge experience of the associated academicians and faculty. The faculty at IIM Ranchi can undoubtedly be considered as one of the best amongst all institutes, given the experience that they bring in-be it academics or actual corporate experience.

The placements at IIM Ranchi has shown great growth since its inception and have managed to attain great numbers. There is a stedy increase in the number of new corporates as well as loyal companies visiting the campus for placements every year. Summer placements have also shown great potential with a high number of PPO's bagged by the students of IIM Ranchi.

The events and extra curricular activities are very interactive at IIM Ranchi. The senior batch manage to get all the students interact with each other, even in the virtual setup that we face currently.

The college currently operates from Suchana Bhawan-a make-do campus, along with hostel facilities at Khel Gaon. IIM Ranchi is looking to shift to it's new campus by 2021. Though being a temporary campus, the hostel facilities are top notch. The student committee have managed to develop a credible and highly regarded facilitation and the Khelgoan flats are like no other college hostel. Access to Khel Goan facilities acts as an advantage.

The hostel, though we have not yet got a chance to be there physically due to COVID 19 Pandemic, is regarded as one of the best facilities among the IIM fraternity. Unlike other colleges, it includes furnished flats surrounded by a green campus, and all the required facilities such as Wi-Fi.
