MY LIFE AT AMRITA

I went through Amrita vishwa vidyapeetham official website and also checked the world ranking of this university before joining here. Pros : - awesome placements for CSE,ECE,EEE (almost 100%) - best place (beautiful landscape and fresh air) - labs - supporting faculty - clubs, events and many more Cons: - high fee - no AC in hostels or classes - no NON VEG - less placement offers for civil, aeronautical, chemical

I chose this course because I am interested in planning and infrastructure. Here the student ratio in my class is 4:1. We have the good faculty with high qualifications. We have 2 midterms in a semester each a month apart and semester exam in the end of the semester. Paper is relatively tough but it's easy to pass.

I am going to opt an internship offer. Since I am working of project works, I thought of choosing it in the last semester. Unfortunately I got rejected in the final round of AMAZON interview. Else I would've got a stipend of 70k/month for the 1st 6 months and later 12LPA job offer at Amazon.

Placements are awesome for top branches. It has an average of more than 10lpa for top branches. But for branches loke civil , aeronautical, chemical unless you have a great profile, jobs are not easy to get. As of now (4-10-21) the Highest package is 45.03LPA by Microsoft which hired around 15 candidate out of 320 students from CSE. Students from small branches may have to focus on GATE,GRE,IELTS,IES for higher studies. Students can opt internship offers which can eventually help to get good job offers.

Fee Structure per year : Tution - 300000 Hostel - 50000 Mess - 50000 Caution deposit - 10000 Extras ~ 15000 Getting a scholarship is not that easy unless you have great AEEE rank. You have to maintain a CGPA of 7/10 to avail the scholarship every year. If you fail to score less than 7/10 in any particular semester, from then onwards you have to pay the total fee. Jobs offers for CSE, ECE and EEE are undoubtedly the best. I am in my 7th semester currently and I am planning for higher studies.

Annual fest is anokha which is conducted in the month of February. Tech fests are generally conducted in any month. Amrita has one of the biggest libraries. You can find any book. It also has internet facility. When it comes to sports, Amrita has large grounds and you can play anything. It also has a vast swimming pool. It has lot of clubs like singing , dancing , music, hacking etc.

Hostel Life is the best. Till 3rd year of BTech, you'll have to stay with 3 others in a same room. But in the 4th year, you have to stay in a single room. Food is not so great. No non veg neither eggs are available in the whole campus. But food is tasty except on Sunday night. Registration for hostel is easy. You can go to the campus and complete your admission process for everything in just 1/2 day provided you have all the documents ready with you.

No GDs, Interviews but AEEE written test is required for an admission. It's relatively easy. AEEE's score can decide your brach and scholarship. It is also based on your caste. People of SC,ST,PWD can easily get scholarship.
