Remarks
Campus, reputed name, good faculty, good placements. These are major factors which led to choose the college. Also being near to residence was a good part. Accredited A+ by NAAC. Somaiya is an University now, based on brilliant records as an institute.
Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus had a lot of relevant content on the industry. Industrial exposure could be provided a bit more. The exposure to some open-source OS or softwares could have been beneficial. Faculties were quite supportive and helpful. A bit of real industry knowledge would help.
Placement Experience
The placement in the college are one of the best. Companies all over the country visit the campus throughout the year. There is a very great chance of a student even with average academics to land a job in the campus placements. However if the academics of students are not taken into consideration, there is a chance of more eligible students landing a job.
College Events
The technical and cultural festivals were one of the best in the house. A technical fest which had tech events for all the streams, a cultural festival which would bring in various movie stars on the stage and an opportunity for any kind of talent to be showcased.
Campus Life
The campus is one of the best in city, with a playing ground available for almost all possible sport. An Olympic grade athletic track. A fully equipped Auditorium. Keeping these aside, an institute for various courses including MBA, Commerce, Science, Arts and an international school as well in the campus.
