Remarks
Aryabhatta College along with some popular colleges were the top priorities for my graduation but my chances were high in Aryabhatta College and thus I chose it. The college is also under Delhi University and it is also accredited by the NAAC group. Courses from Science, Arts as well as Commerce are there but as I applied for a UG Arts field Programme the admission was based upon the cut-off and Merit.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have always had a dream of becoming a Civil servant and wanted to choose B.A as my graduation path for it which is why I decided to opt for this programme. The faculty team at Aryabhatta College is really great and nearly 90 teachers across 14 fields are there. Students are also given various competitions to participate in and that gave us a competitive attitude which has been really good for me.
Internships Opportunities
No such thing was available for BA students and I even don't know if the offers made to students from other programs are good or not. That's why students even work with NGOs or online part time jobs with which they get some exposure about different skills and departments.
Placement Experience
I certainly knew that there aren't that many chances for BA students during placement but even if there were good chances I wouldn't have participated in the round because of my objectives. Some students from other departments got placed under good placements during the round for my batch in the 20 recruiters. Companies like Times of India group, Roots etc reached the college to offer jobs to the deserving candidates.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Aryabhatta College charges almost the same kind of fees as other equivalently good colleges. The total charges for the BA degree was INR 41,490 & we had to pay an annual fee of INR 13,830. Students can even lessen these charges with the scholarships & concessions available for eligible candidates.
Campus Life
Our campus is quite new and that's the reason most of the facilities there are really new and modern also. Students are provided with High speed internet, Computer lab facility and large amount of content in the Library. I don't know that much about the Art's or Sport's event but the annual fest was pretty popular in the college. For medical help of students, a good medical lab is also available in Aryabhatta College.Canteen services are also there with good range of refreshments
Hostel Facilities
Our college is not that old and no hostel accommodation has been built till now for students in the college. Hence, students belonging to outer Delhi or even those from different cities/states have to search for PG Facilities.Students can live on sharing basis because in this way the expenses also get shared. Some of my friends did this and they paid an annual charge of around INR 15,000.
Admission
It is important to match the cut-off released by Aryabhatta College for the BA programme to become eligible for admissions. Students must have done their 10+2 from a recognised board while the final selection is based entirely on the basis of the Merit list prepared from all the applicants.
