Remarks
The college is a highly popular Government College in my area and as I wanted to do my B.Com from a Public institute, I opted for MLNC.The experience at MLNC was good because the college is also given NAAC recognition which was totally visible through the education services in the college. Admission process for our B.Com was also like other UG courses as the admission was based on cut-off and Merit.
Course Curriculum Overview
We had a large faculty team in the college that consisted of Science, Art's & Commerce field educationalists and they were all master's of their respective fields. It was an honour for me that I was able to make really good bonds with the teachers and they guided me for my future. The cut-off for our course was very high in the college which is why all students were having a great mindset to grow and become a part of other's growth.
Internships Opportunities
Our college doesn't have that great Internship opportunities as far as I've observed. This is why I did 2-3 online work internships through Internshala which helped me to come out of my comfort zone and work as per the real time needs.
Placement Experience
The Placement round in our college included companies such as KPMG, Ernst & Young,Capital IQ,Intellecap and Wipro while the percentage of students placed was around 70%. The average package for our 2020 batch was INR 6.5 lacs and various top notch salaries were bagged by the deserving candidates. The round was an overall success for the college as well as the students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee in our college was also in the normal range which is followed by most of the Colleges under DU. The total fee at MLNC was INR 22,350 only and students can apply for the available scholarships & aids if they are under their eligibility. For me , the fee was pretty good and I haven't opted for any financial assistance.
Campus Life
The most popular event in our college is the Annual fest - Vaayu and it includes several events for different fields & departments. Our college is one of the largest one's under DU and it's campus life is aimed to give overall growth opportunity. Students get to have numerous content in the college Library and the Conference hall in the college serves as the best place for all events of the institute. Sports & Art's field activities are also available for students along with well maintained Canteen services.
Hostel Facilities
I have plans to do an MBA and Hopefully I will do that being a hostel student but till now I haven't experienced hostel life. My college days at MLNC were also of an up down student but few of my friends did their Graduation through PG life and they used to say that it has helped them to become self sufficient & dependent. My friends lived on a triple sharing basis in a PG nearby our college.
Admission
Admission to most of the UG courses in DU & all its affiliated colleges are done on the basis of Cut-off and Merit. Our college also followed the same trend, and students belonging to the college cut-off can apply who are then selected as per the Merit and seat availability in the course. I've secured 98% in my XII and I secured a seat in the B.Com program of MLNC.
