Remarks
Mine is the 3rd best State-owned engineering college in Kerala. Getting here is not at all easy. My college provides all of its children with ample knowledge and replete exposure to the current industrial sector. Students here are trained not only in their respective educational fields but in all other aspects shaping one's life too.
Course Curriculum Overview
Majority of our professors are pioneers in their respective fields of expertise. Most of them have doctorates in the subjects and have years of experience in teaching.The labs and amenities available for students are updated in all the possible ways and every students are trained in the novel ways that industries demand.
Placement Experience
Among the companies those visited our campus, there were technical ones as well as software ones.Companies offering technical profiles: MRF,KITCO,KPIT,TATA,RELIANCE,BPCL,BIRECTIThose offering software profiles: TCS, ACCENTURE, WIPRO
College Events
Our greatest achievement is being able to coordinate a national level multi fest Dyuthi every year, where prominence seekers from all around the country engross our campus in a four day program.Technical workshops, seminars, technical and non-technical competitions,games, pre-shows etc constitute a major part of the show. Besides Dyuthi, we have Confluence(Year-wise cultural tourney), GPL(GEC premier League-Cricket), GSL(GEC Super league-football) etc. Moreover,each department has a tech-fest of their own.
Fees and Financial Aid
I had secured a E-grantz scholarship provided by the state government for academically rugged students. It was around 10000 per year which covered up all my tution and subsidiary fee in my four years.
Campus Life
Our College has a free wifi available for 24 hours a day for all the students.The college provides all the basic requirements requisite for better understanding of concepts. 2-3 computer labs for each departments, discrete labs for each subjects,exposure to newer technologies like CAD,Matlab etc. are just a few among them to enumerate.Besides,The college bestows all the facilities for the physical developments of students too. We have two large playgrounds, seperate basketball, volleyball, badminton courts and an advanced gym to mention a few. We have various clubs and groups also to foster intellectual abilities in students in Dancing(Die-hard Dancers),Writing (Graffiti), Conundrums( Gynartha) etc.
Hostel Facilities
Each room is shared by 2 people and is the best out there. The toilets and bathrooms are frequently cleaned. Electricity and water supplies hardly cease. The net amount one has to pay for accommodation alone is 200 per month. Food is provided in the canteen which comprises both veg and non-vegetarian cuisines. Food costs hardly around 3500 per month
