Remarks
To get into MBBS, one needs to be 12th pass from science stream with more than 60% marks and then quality NEET UG with high percentile. The application forms for the admission into the respective colleges are given in the dmeassam.gov.in website. I want the fees to be reduced to whatever extent possible.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course to be a doctor. Faculty student ration is roughly 1:20. The faculties are NEET PG qualified. They teach in a somewhat good manner from ppt prepared by them on a screen projected by a projector. The term exams are held on time and it's somewhat difficult to pass.
Internships Opportunities
A lot of things are to be learnt during the internship. We head to the different departments of MBBS such as Medicine, Surgery, etc and for the first time get the chance to deliver service to patients. It's a hectic job too but the pros are more than the cons. You get your first stipend too.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are somewhat high and include bus fees too. The fees don't hike much. The cost to study is a little high when it comes to studying in a govt medical college. I didn't avail any scholarships but there are a lot of scholarships to be availed.
Campus Life
Synchisis is the annual fest held in GMC. It is conducted in March every year. Books and journals are available. The classrooms are filled with desks, benches and ACs and fans are also available. In the college week, the various games such as cricket, football, and other outdoor games as well as indoor games such as Ludo, carrom and chess are played. Gmcsu is the students group and JDA is the doctors group.
Hostel Facilities
The rooms in our hostels are provided with tables, chairs and bed, light fan and balcony too. The meal is good in such a low price. Menu includes Fish, chicken, egg, paneer, vegetables, etc The registration is done while admission to the college.
