Remarks
The fact that my college has limited seats, is affiliated with an international organization, provides a twinning program and has a minumal fee structure inspired me to take admission. Moreover one of my friends had taken admission in the previous batch and I got to know that the faculty for my particular course is really good.
Course Curriculum Overview
My college approaches the course with an industrial standpoint. Communication design being a creative stream, the faculties engage us with several practical assignments and projects that helps us build our portfolio. We have 4 quarter projects every year alongwith several assignments that can benefit us in our career. Some of the faculty members are really cooperative but I would like to mention my favourite faculty Mr Vipin Chandran Pathiyil who is also the HOD.
Placement Experience
NICC has contact with numerous corporate giants such as Canon India, Infosys, Ogilvy & Mather, CTS, One Pixel Down, The Telegraph etc. In the final year of our college we are guided to finalize our portfolio that we work on from the start of our course so that we can crack the interviews.
College Events
Having limited number of students, I am familiar with every one of them. We celebrate all kinds of festivals and the students take charge to execute them. We are also taken on trips to learn more about our subject. Altogether it has been a fun experience.
Campus Life
The infrastructure is not that impressive. We don't have any playground and the library is not even visible. Regarding lab equipments the photography studio is well equipped. It's a small building with a nice surrounding.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel infrastructure is satisfactory. Boys and girls live in the same building but in different floors. There are single rooms and shared rooms. The single rooms are generally smaller but if you are lucky you can get a bigger one. It is not that difficult to avail the facility and you can get better rooms if you check in beforehand.
