BIT college Kolkata brief review

I took admission in BIT Kolkata through the Techno office situated in chringrihatha Kolkata. I took admission in the management quota but after 2 months of attending the college , the teachers said that I have not given any entrance exam so I would not be able to take admission in this college go to techno salt lake or techno India university, or last option was change the stream but I struggled a lot and denied whatever they said and I also declined their offers for changing streams and colleges. So at last, in the last registration day sir told that my registration has been done. So much struggle.

I chose CSE as it the most demanded and valued course in BTECH and the curriculum and course is according to makaut. The teachers are not efficient in online teachings but they try their best. There are good number of faculty members and their departments. The teachers didn't turns on their cams nor they have any whiteboard in their online class. The exams dates were according to makaut given dates and makeup delayed the exams due to corona.

I am in first years so I couldn't say more about Stipend internships opportunities etc but definitely I have heard that they bring us various internships in around 3 year. Generally startup companies hire us on internships.

Placement is great in this college, I mean all colleges under techno India. The highest package Is around 27 lakhs and the lowest is around 4 lakhs. Companies like TCS, Wipro , cognizant , etc offers jobs. Generally. 80 to 85 students get placed every year. My plan is to get a good placement after 4yrs or do the MTECH by cracking gate.

Fees was about 78000 for the 1st seem and then approx. 65000 for the rest sems each. Scholarships was there but I was not eligible for scholarship due to criteria. Currently. I didn't got any internship or stipend as I am in first year, but I heard positive things about thus topic fir this college.

Tech fest, sports, annual events are held in college regularly but due to Covid everything is online. So you may understand the situation. Library is adequate to provide all students books but all students do not get same books. Classrooms are neat and clean.
