Remarks

The admission was merit based and you have to clear the sky touching cut offs. You will find all the information related to admission on the official site of DU. One thing I liked about the admission procedure is you can transfer your admission to other colleges easily and some amount will be deducted like 1000 rupee and due to Covid the whole procedure is online which made it really easy. I got admission through CW quota i.e, the defense quota. In this you just have to fill the college according to your preference and a separate list will come for this and based on your priority ( according to the brochure) your college will be allotted. I am satisfied with the admission procedure as it's very easy.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I want to pursue bcom hons. but in DU, math's is compulsory for hons. Program. The course offers a diverse curriculum like we are studying from accountancy to evs and in the later semesters we will also study Hindi. The faculties are very helpful, friendly and highly talented. Most of them are doing their PhD. and are engaged in the research process. Due to covide we will have open book exams and the exams are conducted after every semester. Open book exams are easy to pass but you need to have proper knowledge for that also. Mostly teachers set a difficult paper as they are aware of the means used by a student to pass the exam. Most of our teachers are really talented , one of our evs teacher is involved in the research process and he has discovered many new species also which is a great achievement.

Internships Opportunities

4

As I am in my first year, so I don't know much about the internship but placement cell of the college helps us to know about the different internship offers. They bring information about the authentic and reliable companies only. At the initial stage Most of the internship are unpaid and those offering stipend is based on performance. The basic skills required are content writing, graphics design, Human Resources, etc. In short the college provides ample of opportunities to grow as a person and learn.

Placement Experience

4

Our college is considered the best for bcom programme. They offer many internships opportunities and good placement offers . The highest package was 15 lakh and top recruiter includes kpmg, deloitte. Last year it managed to get 150 placement offers for department of science, commerce and arts. 361 internship offers were made by top recruiter like uber, yes bank, etc. and student can avail these opportunities in the third year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is very affordable and nominal. For my course I have to just pay 13500 which is for one year. I am not aware about the scholarships much. The placement society of our college helps us to aware about the different internship offers which help you to gain exposure and there are very good placement opportunities in the college also. I have heard that it's beneficial if you do minimum three- four internships during your college life as it will help you to get good placements good exposure and good future opportunities.

Campus Life

4.5

Due to Covid we cannot experience the offline college life. The students are from different parts of India and you can experience diverse crowd. The annual fest of venky is Nexus which is one of the best fests in Delhi university. Many celebrities like Ankit tiwari, Jubin Nautiyal, Sunidhi chauhan were a part of this fest. Our college is known and considered the best for sports because of the alumni like Rishabh Pant. We have many different societies/ clubs in the college, students can be a part of any according to their interests. There is a good scope for them to learn. But for becoming a part of club/ society you have to go through a selection process like application round, group discussion and personal interview.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
