Remarks
One of the cheapest and best colleges in Gujrat for engineering, as it is one of the oldest and most reputed government colleges so all sorts of facilities are available but some are in excellent condition while some are in bad. if you are economically weak and interested in engineering then I will recommend LDCE, placements are decent but you will be getting alot of free time so you can definitely prepare for off-campus/government exams.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was interested in the computer science field but due to my low ranking I got information technology, I am happy because there is no difference between CSE and IT. Faculty to student ratio is decent not too good & not too bad. Teachers are qualified from reputed institutes & most of them are Ph.D., but teaching style is decent, some teachers are really good while some are really bad, the main issue is the old syllabus and old methods of teaching in all engineering colleges in India. Exams are taken in 2 phases in the semester. 1. mid sem exam 2. end sem exam The difficulty of exams depends on faculty some, exams are easy while others are extremely lengthy and tough too.
Internships Opportunities
Currently, I have no experience with internships in college but I have interacted with seniors from their experience it is decent. The college will provide all sorts of facilities but by the end of the day, it depends on you.
Placement Experience
The placements are decent. A lot of companies visit every year and most of the students are placed, max package is around 15LPA and an average of 5-6 LPA. I would say mass recruiters visit campus most of the time, so don't expect google/Microsoft.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is really cheap, as it is a government college so you don't need to worry about money and also there are lots of scholarship opportunities for economically weak students. Your whole engineering will be covered for under 20k.
Campus Life
So I have taken admission during covid, so I don't know anything fest. Right now I am doing my engineering online so I have no idea about the library, but I have heard that most of the books related to engineering are available. The classrooms are decent. All sorts of sports equipment and other facilities are available some are in good condition while others are okayish. So there are different clubs available in our college You can find more on the college website.
Hostel Facilities
Currently, I am attending classes in online mode while sitting at my home so I don't know about hostel facilities, but I have talked with my friends who are staying in hostels, they said that hostels are okayish just for living there don't expect too much as it is a govt college, food-wise it is pretty good compared to other colleges. Food price is also affordable. The registration process is also very easy.
