BPUT Review

I am from Orissa and BPUT is a very popular college here and I did not want to go out of my state for my MBA program. The college is very popular for its quality education and faculty of the college. The admission is done based on OJEE (Odisha Joint Entrance Examination) followed by the PI round and if you are selected on a merit basis you are also provided with a scholarship. Candidates must have a minimum of 50% in their graduation program.

The curriculum of the college is of the highest standard as college is quite popular for its education standard. I also decided to opt for BPUT because of its educational standards. The curriculum is divided into 4 semesters. The first 2 semester provides the basic knowledge of management and polishes the leadership skills of students and the last 2 semester gives you in-depth knowledge of practical industrial activity by taking the students to the industry visits.

The internship is mandatory for MBA students. Companies like MCL, Vedanta, IBM, visit the campus during the internship drive but the only drawback is that you will not receive a stipend for your internship. But the learning during the internship is very valuable. If you are lucky enough you will receive a pre-placement offer during the internship program as I got a pre-placement offer from IBM.

The college has a good reputation in terms of placement. Companies like IBM, Amazon, Walmart, Flipkart, Reliance, Bajaj etc visit the campus during the placement drive. The college placement committee is also quite helpful and supportive. The highest package for our batch was 14 LPA and the average package is 7 LPA. I also got placed in IBM and receive the package of 10 LPA.

The college life of the campus is good as most of your time is utilized in lectures. The college fest called Utkarsh is held every year and is organized by the students of the college. The library is big and all kinds of books are available. Students who are sports enthusiasts can engage in sports activities. The college infrastructure is good.

The rooms of the college are very spacious one can choose the rooms according to their needs as AC and non-AC rooms are also available. The laundry facilities for students is also available. The rooms of the hostel are very clean and well maintained. The warden and supporting staff of the hostel is cooperative. The food of the mess is good and hygenic.

The faculty of the college are PhD holders and well experienced in their subject. The faculty is very friendly and students can easily approach faculty to clear out their doubts. The faculty of the concerned subject make sure that every concept is clearly understood by the student of the class.
