Remarks

IIT Bombay is mostly known for Engineering, but its MBA program is very good as well. Eligibility criteria are under graduation preferable engineer and CAT exam with 96-97+ percentile. Application cost is 1000/- only. Reservation is for the candidates as per the government norms only. The admission process is quite smooth in SJSMOM (IIT Bombay).

Course Curriculum Overview

I was always into management stuff and decided to go for Operations here. The faculty to student ratio is 1:25 here. The faculty is well qualified and very experienced. most of them are from IIT and IIMS only. we have 6 trims in 2 years and exams are held twice every trimester. we have breaks in between trimesters as well.

Class Size: 58Course Fees: INR 700000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Summer internships are for first-year students and almost 100% of the batch gets placed here too. The average stipend is 1.2-1.4 lakhs and the highest is 2.5-3 lakhs here. companies that visit for summer placements are RIL, DE Shaw, Barclays, CITI Bank, Delloite, Accenture, EY, PwC, Infosys, Samsung, Amway, Wipro, Loreal, Marico, etc. Roles offered are GenMan, Prodman, banking, retail, etc.

Placement Experience

Campus placements are very good here with the average package being 23 lakhs and the highest around 50 lakhs. Final year students are eligible for the same and companies like Reliance, Mckinsey, Amazon, GS, IDFC, Tech Mahindra, etc visit the campus for various operations, finance and general manager roles. Almost 100% of batch gets placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee in SJMSOM i.e. IIT Bombay school of management is around 12-14 lakhs in total. The fee is hiked as per government orders and norms only. There are many centers and state scholarships based on merit, financial backgrounds, and other criteria as well. The stipend is given in summer placements to students as well.

Campus Life

With sports, technology, and cultural events, it is one of the most active campuses. There is a club for every conceivable activity on campus. You have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities. The campus was completely equipped with various amenities, including a library, computer labs, and many more. Annual and Cultural fests are organized in March and August. Books and Journals are available online on the college's study portal.

Interview Experience

4.5

The admission process is like other IITs only. The CAT exam is a must. Your work ex and academic profile matter a lot. Engineers are definitely given an advantage. Personal Interview mostly revolves around your profile only with some technical questions as well. I prepared both offline and online for the process.

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

Not a dream college but a real one

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

from 2 sem you get to apply from interships and from 5th sem for placements ,i applied for only company which was tiaa one of the most biggest mnc in india who is direct compitator of jp morgan , i got a package of 6 lacks ctc per anum but the highest package was 12 lacks , the college has a policy that all student gets placed no students are left behind

Promising campus with room for better faculty.

Placement Experience:

After sem 4 we get final placement companies in the campus there are total 200 plus companies come to the campus till september to november almost 35 companies already come to the campus. The companies are ICICI, HDFC, RISHAB WORLD, INSYNC, DENSTU, ITC, BHARAT ELECTRONICS, CORDELIA CRUISE, MORNING STAR, NOMURA, NYKA, NAUKRI.COM. the highest package was given by a company name bharat electronics for HR specialization is 12 lakhs per annum. Almost in my time there 35percent get placed. I plan after degree is first 3-5 yrs in corporate lufe then after own business.

To be honest there are placements but the placements are like no one want to be there it is just something unacceptable for the HR students . The promises the long talks are all false and they doesn't focus on students future and career rather they care for just attendance

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.

Remarks:

No such bad remarks though. As the college is very superior and one can take admission with complete ease as the college faculty, staff, workers are very helpful and there motive is very clear and remarkable. This college surely helps students in grooming and enhancing skill to the top. I would definitely recommend this college to the upcoming students those who are planning to do MBA in order to achieve goals and learn quality skills.

I did applied for iit delhi also as it was my home town but got IIT Bombay as it was much better for me because of placements and brand value. so i did fill for other college but yes iit bombay was my 1st preference so i got it and acc to my rank i was gettinng into iit bombay very easily but to be on safe side i added more option . so i have cleared jee advanced to get here . for mtech you have to pass gate . the admission iprocess is impler only its mostlyy digital.cutoffs of jee adv is obviously very high due to number of student who wnt to go in iit and number of studnet who get selected there is huge difference so dropper increases ....Read More

Life at IIT Bombay : In and Out
