IIIT Allahabad Review

IIIT Allahabad is one of the popular colleges of Allahabad and I am from Allahabad and I don't want to go to other states for studies so IIIT Allahabad was one of the best options forms I was fully eligible for the college admission process. Candidate must secure a minimum of 50% marks in its graduation program from any stream and should qualify CAT and followed by GD and PI round. The final selection is done on the basis of CAT score, academic qualification and if you have work experience that extra weightage is given to your application. As I was also having a minimum of 3 years of work experience which made my selection a little easier.

The curriculum of the college is according to the industry's latest norms and is up to the mark. The curriculum is divided into 4 semesters, the first two semesters are dedicated to the theoretical and case study method and the last two semesters are based on the industrial visit and learning, and practical work.

The internship is mandatory but it depends on the students whether they want to opt for companies that have visited the campus or do internships on their own from outside the campus. The stipend depends according to the company but usually, the stipend ranges from Rs 18000/- to Rs 1,00,000/-.

The placement record of the college is good and the college is able to manage 100%. The college placement cell is very experienced and supportive they guide and help students during the placement drive in the college. Companies like Google, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Flipkart, IBM, Microsoft, ITC visited the campus during the placement drove. The highest package in our batch went up to 36 LPA and the average placement package went up to 23 LPA. I was also able to receive a handsome package of 25 LPA which was really an amazing thing for me.

The college also provides scholarships under various scholarship programs. Scholarship for SC/ST/PD students is also available. Education loan facility is also available and the college admission staff handles all the responsibility regarding the education loan. All the formalities for education loans are fulfilled by the guidance and support of the college admission department.

The college organizes the fest like Effervescence is a cultural fest, Aparoksha is a technical fest, Asmita annual sports fest are very popular among the students. All the academic buildings are fully air-conditioned. The library is consists of all the academic and non-academic books. The campus is full of students all around the world like Australia, Maldives, Singapore, etc which helps students to learn about different cultures. Sports competitions like cricket, football. badminton, volleyball is held every year.

Opting for the hostel is compulsory. The rooms of the hostel are big, spacious, clean, and properly ventilated. Every student in the room gets their own study table, almirahs, and bed. The 24 hrs high-speed internet connectivity is also available. The mess food is also delicious and the menu is according to the demand of the students. Warden and the hostel staff are very cooperative and friendly it is like a second home for us.

The faculty of the college are well experienced and have industrial exposure. The guest faculty visiting the campus gives you an insight into the industrial changes. You can easily approach the faculty to clear your doubts and they will also help you out.
