III UNA Review

I cleared my JEE Mains and after clearing my JEE I appeared for JOSSA counselling and after that, I was allotted Indian Institute of Information Technology Una college. After allotting the college I found that the Indian Institute of Information Technology Una is recognized as an Institute Of National Importance by the Ministry of Education. The college education system is at par according to the latest industrial norms and the placement committee is very professional and I was also aware that IIITs colleges are quite popular for placement for B.Tech students. Everything was placed right for me.

The curriculum of the college is updated and is according to the latest industrial norms and standards. The curriculum is designed to bring out the best from the students it is a good blend of research work and theoretical knowledge according to the latest industrial standards. The industrial visits are also organized after completing the second year, the last two years are mainly based on research and practical work which help students to utilize theoretical knowledge in the practical world.

The college also provides internship program and internship is part of the college curriculum. One full semester is dedicated to the internship program almost 80%-90% of students are involved in internships and the remaining students are busy in their research work. The college gives an option to children to go for internships off-campus also. The companies that visit our campus for internships also provide internships and the internship ranges from Rs 23000/- to Rs 95000/-.

Why I decided to be part of the Indian Institute of Information Technology Una because IIITs are very popular for their placement. Indian Institute of Information Technology Una is not behind the average package of the college goes up to 8.60 LPA and the highest package for our batch was 14.50 LPA. Companies like L&T, InfoTech, Ittiam, Greyb, Analytics Quotient, Ebiz On, First American, Grey B, Analytics, eBiz 4.0, Envestnet, Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, and Infosys are few companies that visited our campus during the placement drive. The college placement committee is also quite supportive and helpful.

As I was not eligible for any kind of scholarship so I have to pay the complete fee but the college also provides scholarship programs for merit students. Scholarship for SC/ST students is also available. As the college is of National Importance and come under MHRD and MOE the scholarship programs are also available from these ministries. The campus life of the college is good. There are four clubs Epmoc-cultural club Eunoia and AVEESH FORCE-the 2 technical coding clubs. The college organises several events every year and the college also organizes an event to celebrate the festive season of India. The classrooms are well equipped with AC. The college library is good enough and all types of book academic and non-academic books are available.

The hostel is newly made so the rooms are neat and clean and are cleaned every day. The rooms are equipped with bed, almirah, and a study table for students. The rooms are available on sharing basis and the best part is the rooms are attached with the balconies to them. The food of the mess is of good quality and tasty. The menu of the mess is from all around India.

The faculty of the college is good. Most of the faculty are young and very knowledgeable and they promote/motivate students to opt for research work. As they believe that theoretical knowledge is of no use unless you learn to use it in the real world. The college faculty can be approached for any kind of doubts and they are ready to solve your queries.
