The eligibility is a good jee rank and decent 12th boards percent above 65. The fee detail and application form all is available on the nist.edu website. Don't have that much knowledge about reservations. The admission process is very smooth and good.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose it as I am interested in coding. So I chose the CSE branch in BTech. The faculty ratio is good. There is one teacher assigned to every student to clear the doubts. Most faculty are Ph.D. The exams are very timely and if you sincerely prepare for them, you will pass.
Internships Opportunities
Swayam, tcs are few companies that provide internships, and usually, there is no stipend and only certificate, but there are few cases on which a decent stipend was also given to the students. There are projects like learning a new language.
Placement Experience
From the 6th semester they are available to appear for campus placement. Tcs, cognizant, wd, etc in this year 91 students are taken in mass by cognizant. The highest is 19.1 lakhs by wd. And avg is 3.2 lakhs. 75 percent students are placed. To do the job after degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is 116000 per year. There are many scholarships provided like the sibling scholarship of 10000 and many more according to the marks, and many provided by the local government of Odisha for girls and boys with merit.
Campus Life
The annual fest is sankalp, conducted every year in January. All the books related to every course are available in the library. The classroom is occupied with digital classes. There are sports event every year called waves in which different colleges compete with each other. There are many clubs in NIST and many opportunities like drama club, Innova club, and many more.
