I got admission in the 2019 year when the process was completely offline. I had given the WBJEE exam my rank was 39621 in the same, after that, I selected the BCREC college as my 1st preference in the counselling process and had selected the branch IT and it was confirmed. I went to the centre for verification (centres given by the WBJEE board)and submitted the security deposit. With all the documents, showing the security deposit slip and pay fee. The process was completely easy as the college takes payment via Debit Card/Credit Card, Demand Draft and Cash. I paid by card at the Counter of the college. The dress fittings were taken and the ID card was given on the same day. The application form of the WBJEE can be found from wbjeeb.nic.in. One can easily be admitted to this college if the rank is above 50,000 in WBJEE. Now , the process is quite improved as the process is done onlinr.

I chose this course as I am quite interested in Software Development, Web Development, and Artificial Intelligence. There are 14 Specialized teachers whereas the Students are 63. The teachers are well qualified out of which 6 Ph.D. qualified and 8 Masters. The teaching method both online and offline is very good. In online mode, they teach by video conferencing and the students interact easily if any doubt is solved then and thereby the teachers. The teachers are very helpful and can be easily contacted at any point outside the class also. There is 4 theory internal, 2 practical internal, and 1 term exam. The level of the exams is a little tough. One can easily be passed if he studies properly if attends the lectures.

The companies which give the internships include Redhat, TCS, Cognizant in the role of Junior App developer, Junior Web Developer offering 1.8lpa. The projects are in the field of the App Developer, Web Developer Using Python/HTML-CSS-JS/C/Java. The projects also include the latest technology fields in AI, ML, and Graphics Designing like Image Processing, Digital Watermarking.

The students from the 7th semester or 4th year are eligible for the campus placement. There are many companies that provide onsite campusing, TCS, WIPRO CAPGEMINI , INFOSYS , COGNIZANT , ACCENTURE among the top few. The average package companies provided by the companies is 5-6 LPA and the higher package is 10lpa provided. Maximum of the students 95% get placement, and also many of them gets 2-3 jobs. I want to complete my higher education by getting the B.tech degree. If I am placed in any comany as a software developer accorsing to my preferernce in top companies then After joining I shall complete my higher education in distance learning.

In the 1st sem, the fees are 61,000 and in the 2nd sem, it is 42450. From the 2nd year, it is 43450 and it is increased by Rs 1000 on every year basis. Every financial scholarship is approved by the college on proper verification run by the government [SVMCM, WBFS] and the college also runs 2 financial assistance programs where full and half tuition fees are being provided respectively. Many top companies come for campusing in this college, which includes, TCS , INFOSYS, CAPGEMINI, COGNIZANT, WIPRO among the few

Generally, 1 annual fest in the month of February and 1 tech fest in the month of January was conducted in the pre covid times. The book bank is equipped with enough study materials given to the students at the start of the semester. The central library is well equipped with national, international journals and with books including the curriculum and the extra materials useful for the course. Besides the book bank and the central library, there is also a departmental library where there are more than enough books for a student for any course if he is interested in learning in detail. The classrooms are big and spacious enough , there are also projectors in the class for making the ay of learning more interactive. There are basketball ground , gym and also football ground for enjoying the sports. There are also faculties who gives training in yoga, karate, NCC There are many clubs like Dance,Singing,Drama, Icoders[Tech club-www.icodersclub.tech] run by the students of the college
