Remarks

For admissions, one has to pass an entrance exam which consisted of questions from the same subject you applied for. For general candidates, above 70% marks are required, which also depends on the cut-off. Eligibility criteria include bachelors with the same subject with above 55% marks. Students who graduated with different subjects can also apply with special procedures. Admission forms are easily available on the university website and can easily pay online fees which is around 1000. After filling out the form, one has to wait for the entrance exam. The syllabus for the entrance exam can be easily downloaded from the university website. After the whole procedure is over you have a check cut off and if you have cleared the cut off you need to appear for counseling, which is an easy process. Then finally you'll be an admission. The admission process is fairly simple and easy.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I wanted to pursue masters in psychology. At Lucknow university, you get the best faculty and the best infrastructure in Lucknow. Faculty members are really cooperative and helpful. The student-teacher ratio is 1: 20 and each faculty member is an expert in the subject. If you want to pursue MA in Lucknow best choice is Lucknow University. The curriculum is divided into semester systems, you have to pass the midterms and semester exams to clear the semester. Midterms are moderate but semester exams are a bit difficult because of their lengthy nature. It's not very difficult to pass these exams but if you are below average student you need to take extra care to pass the exam otherwise you'll get a back in these papers. The process of clearing a back is really exhausting and time taking and also it's not good for your mark sheet.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Various internship opportunities are provided in medical colleges from the college itself. I got an internship at King George medical college and noor manzil. There are no stipend but yes most important wealth Is the knowledge you learn from these practical place. I have learned a lot got concept clarity and got exposed to the real client counseling experience. And working with various veteran doctors taught me a lot. So I would definitely recommend opting for an internship experience it will be turn out to be a Life Long learning.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure of the university is fixed and it's rare for any kind of hike in fees. For each semester you'll have to pay same amount, which is generally submitted online. There is a provision fir late fees, if you pay after the date you will have to pay extra 500 rupees. Scholarships are provided for students who belongs to a reserved category. It takes a lot of running to different offices. But event you will get the scholarship on time. Job fairs are timely organized in the campus and different companies and organizations come to the fair and recruit students. There is a karmayogi scheme on the campus in which you have registered yourself and you have to help the faculty members with the administrative work and you will get 500 rupees per hour. This scheme can be really helpful for students who have financial issues. You will have to continuously check the website to get notified about these kinds of schemes.

Campus Life

4.5

There are n number of social groups from nukkad natak to the football clubs. There are two big playgrounds for students where you can join the students or play with your own team. Campus life is so happening that you'll never get bored. The scenery is filled with natural beauty and there are a total of 5 canteens on the campus. Tagore library is very big you can find any book you want be it politics, environment or lifestyle-related books. Every department had its own library and that is also rich in variety. You can even find a cyber library on campus.

Interview Experience

4

You don't have to face any interview or group discussion in masters but you'll have to clear an entrance test based on which you will be selected for the course. The entrance test syllabus can be found on the website. The pattern keeps on changing sometimes it's subjective and sometimes objective. The best way to prepare for this is to revise your bachelor's notes and solve questions based on that.

Placement Experience:

The placement here at Sharda was too good. Students start attending the Placement interviews and calls from the last semester. I was personally made into 4 companies and 4 offer letters were offered to me. The average package is 3.8 lakhs per annum and highest was about 11 lakhs. There is 100% placement in every dept. but it depends on students if they want to attend or not. After getting the degree i studied for my PhD entrace and now i am working.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since I wanted to become an English Professor, the course really helped me a lot in getting an insight into English Literature. The professors are very encouraging. The curriculum not only relies on the traditional method of teaching but also various co curricular activities are conducted to prepare the students for the real world. Each student is given an opportunity to prove herself. As the exams are conducted annually we get a lot of time to prepare accordingly.

Remarks:

Overall, I can say that my experience of the college for postgraduate degree is good as of now. Although the course is good, but, I would want more focus to be put on practical learning because after all, it is a practical subject. Other than that, I am content with the facilities provided by the college. I was very interested in the subject and love it personally, so it is a great experience for me.
