A brief summary about GIET

After passing the 12th board you can apply for this course. At least you need to have above 60-65% in 12 board to join in this course. You can find the application form in giet.edu or it is also listed in OJEE counseling. GIET was under BPUT but it became a University in 2019. People with reservation and less income certificate have benefit of scholarship and a huge amount of money is reduced. Admission process needs to be more strict and as per now a lot of students can join but the number should be reduced.

This course is very trendy these days and a lot of job opportunities are there in this course. The faculty:student ratio is 1:30 . Specific Proctor are provided who help you in studies and also in other co curriculum. All the facultys are qualified and have good teaching experience with a good method of teaching. They do complete the syllabus and do know how to manage time. There are two cycle test exams and 1 end semester exam. The exams are not so difficult to pass but to have a good score one need to put some effort.

Students who can perform hood in Android development or web development or have some skills which they can utilize get internships. But most students do not get internships that well or stipend because of internships.

After 6th semester students become eligible to sit in campus placement. TCS, Wipro ,capgemini, tech mahindra and a lot many companies come for mass recruitment, and the average salary is 2.5 LPA. The students who attend 90% of class get the job very easily almost 95% students get placements. My plan is also to get placement in a good company

90000-100000 per semester. But with scholarships, they reduce 50-70% based on merits. They also provide 20000-30000 stipend as per government regulation. After submitting caste certificate and income certificate they provide this facility.

Tech fest are usually conducted at the end of December. There are books in library but they are just related to the course. So variety of books are not provided. The classrooms are good and you can comfortably attend the class. GIET also participates in inter-college. Recently they went to Gujarat for futsal tournament. Volleyball court, basketball court, football field, 2-3 badminton courts, swimming pool are also there. There are many groups that are run by students in every department. For skill improvement, personality development, for aptitude development. One can be in those club to social interact

There are single bedroom, double bedroom, and triple bedrooms. Some of these have attached bathrooms and some have a common bathrooms for 5 students. Food quality is not so good in the mess. You have to visit the campus for hostel registration and the hostel is affordable and one can sustain life.
