Remarks

Hi, I got admission to RAIT through my CET score. Then got selected in the second round for computer engineering. The fees are moderately high in this college. Good for fun and activities RAIT has programs like kalaraag, IEEE. Situated in the big Dr. Patil campus of Nerul Navi Mumbai. Placements are superb. If you want to gain knowledge and enjoy college life as your secondary priority then this college is not for you. Fees are more than lakhs now per year.3 Teaching staff is casual and students do mass bunks. Overall I am happy that I studied here and got a job through college campus placements. Decide what your priorities are if you are looking to select a college. 4 train station is far, even the Jui Nagar railway station is near Nerul railway station.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Wanted to learn programming so joined a computer engineering course. I like programming and it's fun to code. The faculty is okay. Usually, students here do mass bunks so lectures are very less. The faculty is clueless due to students' casual behavior. Passing is very easy here. Teachers support in the internal viva marks and practical exams. So your overall percentage goes very high even if you have an ordinary test. Semester wise exams are conducted and passing is very easy here except first year and last year which is conducted at Mumbai University.

Placement Experience

3.5

Students become eligible for campus placements only in the last year. They have to make sure there is no live KT to have a smoother process. I got 1 offer only that is in Infosys. They have 2 sections. Total 89 companies visited in my last year. Out of those, 13 were dream offers of higher packages these are difficult to crack.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fess is Rs.125000 in 2020 and now it's Rs.130000. The college is online now due to COVID but the fees are the same. For practical's, students are called in batches once a week. And now tests are only MCQs which is not nice. It doesn't value the talent of really good students. College does provide scholarships and I got placed in Infosys Ltd. I got easily placed only and only due to college popularity big brand. Infosys hired 222 students from a batch of 370 students in a single day. Through this, you can guess why I am saying placements are superb

Campus Life

3.5

IEEE, CS, kalaraag are the three main programs that are arranged every year. Big celebrities are expected every time. Vijay Patil has political connections, maybe because of that big actors choose this college for concerts. Sports programs are also superb, I was part of the DY Patil cricket team and tournaments are often going on now and then.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
