Remarks
College is affiliated with the University of Delhi, so you need to apply for the application form of the university online. Generally, it's released after the declaration of 12 board results as admissions were purely based on merit (12th marks) till 2021 but DU has made the plan to opt for CUET from 2022 onwards. Only the marks of physics, chemistry, and biology/mathematics are considered for making the merit. Reservation is based on central government criteria: 15% SC, 7.5% ST, 5% PWD, 10% EWS and 27% OBC - NCL. The admission process is completely online.
Course Curriculum Overview
It's one of the best institutes in India for pursuing a B.Sc Hons. Food Technology with the best faculty you have ever seen. All the professors are well qualified and with immense knowledge and experience. They take care of everything from the personal issues to the academic problems of every student. Every student is provided with a mentor from the first year itself.
Internships Opportunities
The college itself gives internship opportunities in summer break after the first year. It has well-equipped labs. Students can also join internships in the industry, the college has quite a good name so it's very easy to get an internship at any place like FICCI, Amul, Britannia, Haldiram, etc.
Placement Experience
The college has an active placement cell, a number of the company visited every year. The college has a good placement record since it has a direct link-up with industries and has a strong alumni network. The minimum package offered is 1.80 lakh to a maximum of 3 lakh per annum. But most of the students don't opt for placement and choose to go for higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is so less in comparison to other food Technology Colleges and the exposure this college will provide is much more. Also, there are various scholarships available in the college every year like PFNDAI, DBT scholarship, etc. But if you're out of Delhi then you have to bear extra money of 5k-6k every month as rent since only freshers are allowed to stay in a hostel not 2nd and 3rd-year students.
Campus Life
College campus is not that big like Universities but still, it's enough to roam around and enjoy. The vibe of the college is so colorful, having different societies like Aacharya - western dance society, Mukhauta - drama society, etc. There are different societies for photography, classical dance, fine arts, entrepreneurship. College provides coaches for different sports like badminton, basketball, aerobics, gymnastics, yoga, kho kho, etc.
