Entrance Preview

For BCAF there was a merit list system based on 12th Std Results. And admission process was easy and simple.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum was great. Finance & Accounting, got what I expected. Opted for BCAF as was interested in such subjects & got the knowledge from such curriculum as wanted.

Internships Opportunities

There was no internship for our course as it was at the graduation level. Can say similar to BCom but our course was one step advance I.e. Bcom but specialized one in accounting & Finance, so there wasn't any internship at our level.

Placement Experience

3.5

There came many companies at our college campus. Few were Syntel Ltd. Located at powai, big company related to KPO where around 5 got placed after interview. They were offered around 10k. Another one was Apex which is in the field of home appliances. It was too a good placement opportunity. Around 2 got placed. They offered 6k around.

College Events

3

There were many cultural n management events. Events related to knowledge enhancement, even music concerts & also college fest. Knowledge & music concerts were limited to Somaiya campus students while College fest is open for all. It used to be one of the biggest fest all over Mumbai.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As the course I opted for was specialized one it was expensive than normal ones. It costed around 25k a year which is thought to be more than regular courses in commerce stream.

Fees and Financial Aid

As such wasn't in need of any such scholarships & so don't even tried knowing about such scholarships so I am actually not aware of such offerings by our college.

Campus Life

5

Campus life of our college was best in town. Biggest ever campus in Mumbai. The campus was very eco friendly and even never faced religion problems or even gender problems. all were free to do whatever they want to. Same like democratic one.

Exam Structure

Semister wise examination with some internal test weekly n monthly. & also project sessions which were added in our overall results.

Faculty

5

Faculty was very professional in teaching & friendly too out of the lectures. Very intelligent & up to the mark. The project sessions were very good. Got to learn much more from such sessions.

Placement Experience:

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

Remarks:

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
