The admission process is through jee mains. you have to secure a jee mains all India rank under 20000 in general category to get admission in this branchIIEST. You can take jee mains exam which is conducted by NTA, which happens around the start of the year, the study really hard, and secure admission to this college. Good college to opt for engineering.
Course Curriculum Overview
the course curriculum is not very tough, I choose this course because I was really interested in the topic of electricity, the faculty: student ratio is also very not bad at all. the professors are really well qualified with Mtech and Ph.D. degrees and seniors and professors are really helpful to students. Semester exams are not very tough to pass, can be passed easily if you know the topics.
Internships Opportunities
Intern opportunities in it are very good, both core and noncore companies come to college and give paid interns to selected 3rd-year students, although the opportunities are less compared to final year campus placements time to time interns are provided via company to 3rd-year students, most are non-core, you must have good coding skills to get interns in the non-core sector.
Placement Experience
Placements in IIEST shipper we really impressed. around 80-90% of students get placed every year from the campus. Students can sit for campus placements from the start of the 4th year. The highest package offered was 40LPA, and the lowest package is offered from mass recruiters like Infosys, TCS, etc. The average salary is about 7-8 LPA, and all the dream companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Microsoft, Samsung, visit our campus for placements.

The fees of the college are very moderate, with tuition fees of almost 30k-40k per semester, and additional hostel fees of around 30k per semester. Overall it will cost around 5-6Lacks in 4 years to study in college. if you score really good grades in your semester exams you will get scholarships from the institute side, and also some other scholarships are available to poor students.
Campus Life
many cultural fests happen in college, especially REBECA, our biggest cultural fest.INTRO is our college's and Kolkata's biggest tech fest. we also have 2 playgrounds and we have almost all the sports facilities in the college, we have a drama society called Les Thespian, Robodarshan- Robotics society, and catharsis - photography society.
Hostel Facilities
There are 3 girls hostel and 9 boys hostel, in the hostel during 1st and 2nd year there is 2-3 people in a single room, and 4th-year students get a single room, name of the hostel is Banarjee Hall, AK seal hall and Richardson hall, Macdonald hall, etc are names of some boys and girls hostel. you can avail of hostels by contacting the chief warden and also from the main official website.
