Remarks
There are no entrance exams for ug courses in MCC. You get into the college only with the percentage you scored in your 12th grade. The application form will be available on the website. I think I paid Rs.200 as the application fee. The application date will also be mentioned on the college website.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course to pursue the civil services examination. The faculties here are really amazing and they all are really talented with complete knowledge of the subject. Most of the faculties are Ph.d. holders and the remaining faculties are also no lesser than that. The teaching method is simply brilliant and easily understandable.
Internships Opportunities
There are good internship opportunities available for the students. The science and commerce students have good enough opportunities to get internships. There are internships available at Madras Christian College.
Placement Experience
The college has many tie-ups with top compies around the globe. Placement opportunities are good enough in MCC. Most of the students get placed in the on-campus interviews. final year students are eligible for campus interviews.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no need to worry about the fees structure. If you choose aided course the fees will be around Rs.25000 per annum/year. There are the number of scholarships provided by the college, university, and the Government. There is also a possibility of getting on-campus job opportunities.
Campus Life
MCC is very famous for its inter-collegiate function "DEEPWOODS". MCC is also famous for its inter-collegiate dance competition followed by a musical showdown "UTSAV" organized by ST. THOMAS'S HALL - one of the halls in MCC. The Miller memorial library in MCC is one of the oldest in the city. There are a huge amount of books and journals available in the library. Miller memorial library is an absolute treat for all bibliophilic. There is also a digital library and free wifi available inside the library. The classrooms are clean and the ambiance is very good. MCC has many sports and extracurricular activities. There are a number of clubs for students and all those are run by the students. If you want a good campus life, then MCC will top first for its campus life.
Hostel Facilities
For boys, one room is for one person, whereas for girls it is three-person per room. We are provided with a Table, chair, and cot. The rooms have a 24/7 electricity facility. The meals provided in the halls are good and really super. The registration process is very easy and the process will be displayed on the website. There are 3 halls for men and 3 halls for women. It is in fact tough to get admitted in the halls. The hall life in MCC is something nostalgic and it will be enjoyable more than college life.
