Remarks

RCCIIT is one of the TOP 10 Colleges under the entrance exam WBJEE. The cut-off is around rank 7k-20k for the general category. WBJEE is one of the trickiest entrance exams, and its difficulty falls between JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. After clearing WBJEE, one can apply to this College if he clears the cutoff. Securing around 20k rank, I kept this as my second choice in the WBJEE counseling. Being a semi-government college, the fees are quite less in comparison to other colleges. The admission procedure was quite easy as the staff and faculty members were super friendly and helpful. They explained the procedure very well and were done with absolute ease.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) as this subject would help me be eligible for Government Jobs(IES), as well as IT and Core jobs. The Faculty at RCCIIT is marvelous. Professors are super friendly and nice. They help students and want them to excel in every possible field of the student's interests. The faculty consists of professors who completed their Ph.D. and visiting professors who are pursuing their PhDs. With such knowledgeable faculty, we are guided in the best possible way. We are given interesting projects on various topics that help us apply our theoretical knowledge and implement it practically. We follow the curriculum of MAKAUT. We have 2 sections and a total of 120 students in the ECE department, and a total of 400+ students are there in the first year. Despite online exams, our professors motivate us to study. AI ivilagtion happen in semester exams. The paper has 50 questions divided into easy, moderate, and hard.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The college conducts coding classes beyond the syllabus that help one learn and get inot the depths of coding. Internship oppurtunities are provided by many startups and MNCs like BMC,TCS, Cognizant. We are entitled to do projects on various topics like IOT, DSA, etc that not only helps us to gain knwoledge but also put that in our CVs so that companies have a better insight while hiring us. GDSC of RCCIIT helps us with various google related quests like 30 days of cloud which also boosts our skills and opens new areas for us to research on. Guest speakers come from various organizations to give us an insight of tons of interesting things like robotics, AIML, etc, and help us curate our skills in those fields so that we can have a career in the area of our interests.

Placement Experience

5

Placements at RCCIIT are amazing. The placement cell works really hard to ensure that student is left out for getting at least 1 job offer. This year the highest placement was of 13 LPA offered to 7 students across all streams by Tavisca JP Morgan group. 8 students got a placement of 12.50 LPA offered by BMC. The average placement is about 5lpa and the lowest goes around 2-3 LPA. 70-80% of students are placed. The college and placement cell provides extra classes for preparing us for placement from the 2nd year itself. Due to their endeavors, it is really easy to bag the placement if one studies with diligence. My plans after getting the degree are to bag the best placement offered by our college. I have full faith in them and know that they will leave no stone unturned for helping us to get what we desire.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee for 4 years is 3.75 lakhs. The Students Credit Card Scheme launched by WB Govt was taken by many students including me that provided financial assistance upto 10 lakhs. From the 2nd and 3rd-year, the college provides internships to meritorious students and lets us explore our talents and implement our skills by solving real-life problems.

Campus Life

4.5

RCCIIT promotes extracurriculars. Annual Tech Fest and other fests are usually conducted in between semester breaks. There are various departmental fests too that allows one to discover their talents in the fields of Writing, Photography, Coding, Quizzing, Debating, etc. Intercollege fests are organized as well that promote healthy competition! The library consists of all kinds of books based on syllabus and technology. Being air-conditioned it is my favorite spot for the summer days! Sports meet Kirathon is conducted in early February is my favorite event! It is open to all and is really amazing! Winners are awarded medals and certificates too! RCCIIT has many clubs namely Rotaract, NSS, RCC Techz, GDSC, and D2C. They conduct various events and shows for special events where they take encourage each and every student to participate. Students develop exposure and confidence from such events. And being members of the clubs are easy as well-one just has to work for it wholeheartedly.

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
