MBA From IIT Kanpur

I opted for IIT Kanpur because I am from B.Tech background and I felt that a combination of engineering and management will very help full for my career. During my research, I found that IIT Kanpur is quite popular for its educational standards and the placement record of the college is also very good and plus IIT tag was one of the best options for me. To be part of IIT Kanpur candidate must clear the CAT exam and must secure a minimum of 65% and for SC/ST/PWD students 55% marks in bachelors degree followed by the GD and PI round. If a candidate has some work experience then little extra weightage is given to the application.

The curriculum is of international standards and follows all the latest norms. The curriculum is designed to develop managerial and leadership skills so that students can lead the industry from the front. The college promotes start-ups a lot and the curriculum gives us an opportunity to learn about start-ups by taking part in various projects and research activities.

The college placement committee helps us a lot during the internship program. We can ask for the company list from the placement committee to select the companies for internship. Around 30 companies visit the campus during the internship program. We are eligible for an internship program after completing the first year and internship is part of the curriculum. the stipends start from rs. 15000/- to Rs. 98000/- according to the tenure of the internship.

The college provides good placement. The placement of the college is according to the IIT standards. The college placement committee is quite supportive and helpful. They guide us throughout the placement process. The highest package for our batch went up to 55 LPA and the average package was around 11 LPA. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Infosys, Wipro, IBM, Ford, Mercedes Benz, etc participated in the campus placement drive.

The education loan facility is also available. The admission department of the college help you out in the loan process all the documentation and process is completed through the admission department. The college also provides scholarships for merit students. The campus life of the college is good. The college organises fests like Antaragni-cultural fest, Techkriti-technical fest and Udghosh-sports fest. Students eagerly wait for such fests, especially for the sports fest. The seniors and the administrative staff of the college are very friendly and supportive. The college provides all kinds of facilities for students like campus Wifi connectivity, library, badminton, basketball. volleyball court, etc.

The hostel rooms are available for double and single sharing. The rooms are big enough to accommodate students and bed, study table and almirahs for students. The rooms are cleaned daily. the mess food is tasty and the menu keeps on changing. The hostel provides all kinds of facilities and amenities to students. The hostel also provides a 24x7 high-speed internet facility.

The faculty of the college are masters in their subject. The faculty are very helpful and cooperative. Most of the faculty are of PhD level from the top institute of India and abroad. The faculty not only helps us in our academics but also guide us in our career selection and work as mentors for us.
