Remarks

The college is good. The courses offered are also good. I just feel the campus is a bit small. It would have been good if the campus would have been a bit larger.

Entrance Preview

I had heard about this course from my seniors. I had heard it's good. Here admission is on merit basis. So I was lucky enough and got admission based upon my 12th class merit.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum was good. The course touched the basics of programming languages used in software industry. We got exposure to various software languages such as C,C++,Java,Unix etc. The course covers various aspects used in Software industry.

Internships Opportunities

Our college does not provide any internship for our course hence no internship no stipend however overall college experience have been too good too much to learn.

Placement Experience

The placement opportunities in our college is good. Many companies visited our college for placement. The package offered was also quite decent. The most promising opportunity was offered by Wipro Technologies in which they offered us to learn while we earn. They provided us an opportunity where we were offered MS degree from BITS Pilani and a fixed stipend over a period of 4 years till the date the course got completed.

College Events

The college celebrated various festivals at various intervals. Even though the college campus is not very big but still we managed to celebrate all festivals with great enthusiasm. The annual day was very good and enjoyable. Our college is an extension of BIT, Mesra Ranchi and there the festivals were celebrated on a more wider scale.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees from 2009-2012 was less. Tution fees was 32500 rupees per semester. We had 2 semesters in a year so yearly fees was 65000 rupees. However we didn't had any hostel in our campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship or loan facility is offered by the college. The college doesn't offer any kind of scholarships.

Campus Life

The college crowd was awesome. The college had a decent library. The faculty was good. Even though the campus was small but the environment was good.

Hostel Facilities

Our college did not had any hostel facility and we needed to stay in flat/pg outside the college campus only.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students were pretty good and helpful. They even organised a freshers party for us. The college has an alumni group on facebook which anyone can join and stay connected.

Exam Structure

The exam structure was good. It was not very hectic. We had 40 classes in one semester and examinations happened based upon that in a semester we had mid semester exams and end semester exams. Mid sem exams carried 25 marks, 5 marks for attendance and 10 for assignment. End sem marks were of 60 marks. Overall we never felt too much of Exam pressure throughout the course.

Faculty

The faculty was good and the standard was high the faculty taught each subject with interest and sincerity the faculty made all subjects easy to learn.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the BCA program because of my interest in software development and web technologies. The curriculum’s focus on core subjects like Java, C++, and Database Management Systems (DBMS) was a major deciding factor, as these are the building blocks for a career in IT. ?The syllabus could be updated more frequently to include emerging technologies like Cloud Computing or AI/ML as core subjects rather than electives. Moving away from traditional rote learning toward more project-based learning would be beneficial. More frequent industry guest lectures would also bridge the gap between academia and corporate life The exam will be I would rate the difficulty as moderate. If you stay consistent with your lab work and internal assignments, the end-semester exams are quite manageable. The technical papers (like Mathematics or Architecture) tend to be the most challenging.

The Good and the Bad about BBD University by a second year student

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college are very very average. I say below average because the placement average package of average 500 students was around 4 lakhs. And there are more than 10,000 students in my college. So the placement is very low. And the highest package for BCA, was around 10,00,000 and engineering around 20,00,000. An MBA was also around 13 to 14 lakhs. So the placement is very bad in my college.

Placement Experience:

From the 5th sem we eligible for the campus placement, There are various highly-reputed companies that come for the placement such as Microsoft, Paytm, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, hcl, etc. Their average package is 2.2 lakh per annum And the highest package is 10 lakh per annum, The average of students for the placement is 80-90%. My plan is to get a good placement from there and to do a job for one or two years after that I will prefer higher education.
