Remarks

The administration staff is handling the college very remarkable and maintaining the standards set by the University. Even the management accepts suggestion for the improvement of the college.

Entrance Preview

I took Scored 89% in +2, So got admission in most prestigious course of University Of Delhi. I chose this college as it is one of the best college of south campus of The University.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is very good though it was better when there was annual system. But it was great to have some of the best faculty in my college. Everyone was so helpful and always aimed at allround development of the students.

Internships Opportunities

Various departments provide lots of opportunites of internship as they organise various drives. Various FMCG companies came at my time like HUL etc. The general stipend was around Rs.5000 10000 for a internship period of 4-6 months.

Placement Experience

Lots of companies came in College Placement Drive. Companies like Aon Hewit,HP,Concentrix etc offer great package of around Rs.250000R 400000. You also have the perks to appear in the centralized placement drive of The University,there highest package was 3000000 which was provided by Google Inc.

College Events

The fests of University Of Delhi and its colleges is well known in the country. The annual college fest is Aaghaz which saw many celebrities like Deep Money, Kailash Kher etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Being a government funded college, the fee was pretty feasible. For my course fee was only Rs 7000 per year. Though it was different depending on the course structure.

As it is a government college so you can available only those scholarships that are provided by the government.

Campus Life

The campus life is one of the best thing a DU student remembers all his life. You can see various programs arranged almost everyday. Every student got opportunity to participate or even organize such events. Being in an open minded society, there was no kind of discrimination.

Hostel Facilities

My college do not provide hostels or mess facilities but the students can apply for centralized hostels provided by the University Of Delhi.

Alumni/Alumna

Every year there is an alumni meet that is arranged by the college where all alumni meet. Though I was not fortunate to meet one of them. But seniors are very helpful. They are the strongest pillar on which a fresher can realy on.

Exam Structure

Though the semester system is little bit hectic but overall it was a chilled out experience. One only have to worry about Internal Assessments which are quite easy.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

I was given this college on the basis of the score in the CUET Exam which i gave after my 12th. It was a tough exam i would say because compiting with 20 Lac plus students for just a seat in DU is not an easy task. While preparing the prefference sheet and combinations for the college in the admission process was a confusing task. So i select all the cobinations of courses and colleges which i was eligible and then i also select my course and college, but i never thought that i would get it, still though i was happy that i get to study in one of the DU college. St Stephens obviously as for Science, its one of the best DU college.
