Remarks
To get admission in KGEC, at first you have to write the WBJEE exam and then getthe chance to get admission through councelling. The admission process is simple, you have to fill a form and submit it to the Deputy registrar of the college along with necessary documents and submit the Admission fees. The application fee varios from 7500 to 17500 department to department. If you belong to any caste or tribe, you get some benifits like scholarships.
Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted to become an engineer from my childhood and after 12th I got this college and took admission in it. There are sufficient faculties for the students. the faculty student ration is about 1:40 The teachers are quite well qualified and very friendly. They will help you in any kind of trouble or difficulties. The terms exam are only for continuous assessment (CA) and one semester exam.
Placement Experience
The students become eligible for campus placements in their final year. During campus placements, only some mass recruiters visit the college like TCS, Wipro etc. The lowest package goes aroun 3.0lakhs per annum to highest of 9 lakhs per annum. The average is around 4.0 lakhsper annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
Kalyani Government college is a government college so the fees are less. it varies from 7500 (EE & ME) to 17500(IT) and 10500(CSE & ECE). The price hikes in every 2-3 years. If any student have financial issues the can opt for loan. The college also offers scholarchips (SVMCM, OASIS).
Campus Life
The annual fest of KGEC is ESPECTRO. The students and teachers wait for the annual fest through out the whole year. In this fest many eminent celebraties come to college and make it a grand success. In the college library, there are plenty of booksand journals but you have to have a library card in order to borrow books from the library. The classrooms are big, airy and full of light. In coolege there are many sports facilities and gym also.
