Journey worth sharing!

I had given the MAT exam and scored above 85 percentile, and had applied on the basis of that only. After that, I had to clear the Group Discussion round and after clearing my GD I had to go through the personal interview after that, I had to clear the written aptitude test. Then towards the end, I had to make the merit list which is calculated on the basis of the overall marks. One can easily find the application form and all other necessary information regarding admission and reservations on the college website.

I wanted to do my post-graduation and secure a job in the corporate so that's why I chose PGDM as it gives you deep knowledge about how the corporate sector works. The faculty at IMS are experienced and have a good hold on their domain and if you are attentive during the lectures then I would say the exams are moderately difficult.

Students got many Internship opportunities that are also stipend-based. Students also got Pre Placement offers from these internships. Both start-ups to MNCs offer internships to the students. These internships help the students to have the basic knowledge of how the industry works.

From starting of the second year i.e. from the 4th trimester companies like Deloitte, Dabur, Pantaloons, ICICI, etc starts visiting the college campus for placements. Almost 100% of the students get placed every year. The highest package was somewhere around 16-18 lacs during my time and the average package was around 6 lacs.

The fees structure is very normal for a PGDM course which is 7.95 lakh for 2 years (excluding hostel charges). Changes in fees take place due to the AICTE norm. If you are eligible then there are scholarships that can be based on academics, Sibling scholarships,s, etc. Students are part of various programs on campus but they are usually not stipend-based.

The annual fest 'MELANGE' and interdepartmental competition 'SAMAGAM' are conducted according to the annual calendar of the college. The College library consists of online and offline resources, where you can get n number of books and magazines. All the facilities are there which a student needs in his day to day activities. There are others events also like MDP, Sports day, etc, and various groups like marketing group, operations group, and many more which are coordinated and run by students only.

My topic for GD was related to the PESTLE forces and what role it plays in a business. Usually, GD topics are related to business or current affairs. One has to face GD, PI, and WAT in order to get admission to IMS. College also considers marks of 10th, 12th, and Graduation. I was regularly reading about what was going on in the business world while I was preparing for my selection process and tried to keep up with the things happening around the globe.
