My 2 beautiful years of college

Admission process was quite smooth and it gone in just a day followed by orientation Programme. One has to give IPU CET for taking admission in this Course . I gave this exam and got 12 th rank. The eligibilty was 55% in Graduation with science stream having one subject as Environment studies. Moreover there was no gender ratio specificity. I have found the application form online on GGSIPU site as my friend was also doing his Bachelors from IP university .The appliacation form was in a brief manner having precise details. The application fees was 1000 Rs either by Net banking , Debit card , credit card and various other payment ptions. The application starts from mid july till mid august followeb by counselling sessions . An improvement suggestion - Counselling should be done at a smooth pace as this takes more than 2 months and child got frustrated and thus ending up taking admission from somewhere else . The fees structure should be in some other payment options as well .

I opted for this course as i have a keen interest in pursuing environment studies . I am a nature lover . Also IP university has a unique feature that no other university provides as it conducts this particular course under Environment management such as Natural Resources Management , Environment management and Biodiversity and Conservation. Our faculty has quite highly qualified professors having Post Doctorate degree with some various and prestigious research work in different area. They also gave our batch some really amazing internship and job opportunities. Very helpful and cooperative with good and practical teaching method followed by regular field vistits for a better view. Student and teacher ratio was not appropriate as our batch had just 9 students with 8 girls and just a boy who was from north east . Our faculty was really helpful towards him. Exams were held weekly as term paper and semester wise as well . Overall the exams were not very tough nut to crack if studied .

Amazing internship opportunities . Some really big companies such as Wetlands International South Asia -Defence colony , New Delhi , Himalayan organization , FICCI , Nectar , WWF and some really great NGOs offers positions such as Junior technical Officer , Environment Consultant ,research intern , research Officer , research assisstant , junior research analyst etc by working on wetlands , animals etc with a stipend of 15000 per month , but some organization doesn't provide stipend at all . These internships are mostly faciliated by respective professors . MBA students are offered with various opportunities of internship as Assistant analyst , research intern by top companies such as Accenture , Banks , TCS ,PSIT, Wipro etc with a stipend of 20000 per month .

Students become eligible from 6 th semester for campus placements . Unlike DU , IPU provides immense range of placements and paid internships as well inside and outside india . Companies visited - Sterling tools Ltd. , Amazon , New Gen ,Adobe , TCS ,PSIT ,Cvent etc . 250+ offers were made by top naming companies. Offers made- 4.2 LPA for Mtech and 3. 6 LPA for MBA .Highest CTC was 32 .8 LPA and average is 8.5 LPA . 90% students got placed after having their course completed with other further opportunities as well. I just bagged a great job at wetlands international south Asia , Defence colony ,New Delhi as a junior Technical Officer with 7 lakhs per annum . Not highly satisfied but a great start .I thank my college for this . * Science students got less placements as compared to other professional courses such as MBA , LLB , Mtech , Architecture courses etc.

The fee structure was not very expensive . It was much feasible compared to other universities as it's a semi government university. Pocket friendly fees . There was 5 % hike in professional fees during 2019 but for infrastructure maintainence and other things. There was also scholarships for LLB students . No scholarships to science students or any student with masters degree. In our course , last month is totally dedicated to internsdhip. it is a must process for getting a degree . One of my reputed professor placed me in wetlands International South Asia , Defence colony , New Delhi with a stiped of 8000 per month and after my 6 months internship where i focused on my research and then i bagged a job in the same institution with a really amazing package.

Our annual fest name is Anugoonj since 2017 .Anugoonj is organised every year in the main campus of the college and it allows more than 127 IPU affiliated colleges to participate . There were some tech fest as well viz Suraina 2020 cultural festival ,Biz buzz 2.0 annual management fest , GGSIPU sports meet festival and GGSIPU mockl trading Challenge 2020 Management fest . IP has digital library with almost one lakh books of every subject . We can read books online after veryfing ourselves as an IPU student. It is accessible . There was various extra curricular activities such as singing fest , Art and craft , Best out of waste , fashion walks etc . Our sports ground is really huge and various activities were held such as football, cricket etc Srijan club is there to provide students to platform to explore and unravel their creative side through various cultural activity. 12 clubs have been constituted. Name of clubs - Literary club , Music club , Dance club , nature club etc.
