NIT Rourkela Review

We all know what NIT stands for. I decided to opt for MBA from NIT because the college has a good placement for MBA students and I am from an engineering background an MBA from a college like NIT was one of the best options for me. I have already cleared my CAT exam. To be part of NIT Rourkela I have to fill out the admission form from the college's official website and I have to pay the application fee of Rs. 950/- during my time of admission. After meeting the cutoff list of the NIT MBA program I have to appear for GD and PI round on the college campus.

The curriculum of the college is very interactive and engaging. The curriculum follows all types of industrial guidelines, norms, and standards. The curriculum helps us to understand the basic knowledge to advance the level of management knowledge. The curriculum is designed to develop our analytical and decision-making skills so that we can develop our managerial and leadership qualities.

The internship is mandatory and we are eligible for the internship after completing the first year of our program. The college placement committee helps us to identify the companies for internships. The internship stipends depend according to the company but usually, the average stipend for the internship is approx Rs. 90000/-. Around 35+ companies visited our campus for the internship programs.

The college has a 100% placement record. The college provides a good placement package for MBA. The college placement is as per the standards of NITs. The college placement committee is very helpful and cooperative. The placement committee helps us and guides us throughout the placement process and makes sure that every one of us is placed. The college placement committee is successful in inviting good companies for the placement round. The highest package for our batch was around 38 LPA and the average package was around 10 LPA. Companies like Microsoft, Bajaj Auto, CitiBank, Amazon, Wipro, Infosys, Axis Bank, L&T, etc visited our campus for the placement drive.

The college provides scholarships on a merit basis and scholarship for SC/ST/PWD is also available. The college also provides financial assistance. There are more than 8+ scholarship programs available in the college through which the college provides scholarships. The campus life of the college is good. The campus provides ample opportunities for project work and studies. The guest faculty visit the campus for guest lectures which gives us a good learning experience. The cultural annual fest of the college is NITRUtsav and Innovision is the techno-management. The campus also provides us WiFi facility. The library of the college is very good there are many books available from around the world of different kinds of books. The college strictly follows a ragging policy and the administrative staff and the college seniors are very cooperative.

The college provides a good hostel facility. The rooms are properly cleaned. The hostel infrastructure is good. The rooms are big and properly ventilated. The rooms are equipped with beds, a study table, and almirahs for every one of us. The hostel mess food is good and the menu is very vast and full of different kinds of variety. The hostel wardens are professional and cooperative and properly manage the decorum of the hostel. The hostel provides us with 24 hours WiFi facility. The hostel has all kinds of facilities for us.

The college is popular for its faculty and the faculty are very good. They motivate us to take part in extra-curricular activities as they believe that to grow professionally we need to develop our overall personality. The faculty teaching methods are a blend of traditional and modern techniques which makes us engage in the class.
