You can get admission in Malaviya National Institute of Technology by rank in jee mains and jee advance exams. A person must clear the minimum percentile criteria to be eligible to apply for the college. You can find jee mains registration application on jeemain.nta.nic.in . When I had applied for the same there were four papers and the maximum percentile was considered in calculating the rank. After the results, you have to apply in Josaa counselling for allotment of college. The college will be allotted based on jee rank and your priority list. There is reservation for gen-ews, obc, sc, st candidates and female candidates. The admission process is easy but very lengthy and very less time is given to upload the documents and pay fees online and if one fails to do so at time, their seat is cancelled. The authorities should give more time for this.

I had chosen chemical engineering because i have deep interest in chemical science and experiments. Faculty to students ratio is good . There are four faculties teaching a same subject but different units. Faculty of MNIT are highly qualified post graduate. Their teaching methods is also good . They explain everything detailed and even teaches information outside the course which is helpful for us. Exams are taken on time even during pandemic. Their is one mid term exam and end term exam along with many quizzes ,assignments and projects.

The college keeps suggesting internships from the first year which include summer internships at IITs,IISc, IIMs, etc. Students also get research internship offers from other countries like Japan, Singapore, South Korea, etc. Full Semester internship starts from the end of 3rd year. Students make many projects and extra points are given for those projects which adds in the overall development of students.

Placements starts from 3rd year. The campus placement is very good. Highest package offered in 2021 was of around 44 LPA and average package was of 11LPA.But the placements in chemical and metallurgy branch are relatively low. CS branch students get the most placement . Percentage of students getting placed is high(74%) as most of the students who applied for placements get placed . I have planned to get placed and continue my higher studies from IIT Bombay after getting the degree.

Cost of study is affordable and even low then many private colleges. Government and private both scholarships are available for the students to help them. Students with income less than 5 lakh can avail the benefit of the scholarship. Category based scholarships are also available for sc, st, gen-ews and obc-ncl candidates.

Blitzschlag is annual cultural fest of MNIT. It is conducted in month of February. This fest provide an amazing platform to show and promote the knowledge and talent. Spnihx is annual technology fest of MNIT. It is conducted in Month of January. Library is full of books from all courses and streams . Online ebooks are also provided in Library. Students can easily issue the book with a library card. College promotes sports and extra curriculum activities in campus for mental and physical fitness of students. There is seperate basketball court(3), badminton court(1), gym, TT, football field (2), cricket ground (2), tennis ground(3) and volleyball court (3). Their are many clubs run by studentsstudents under the guidance of faculty coordinator.
