Well organised college with enjoyable college life and lots of opportunities

To take admission you've to appear for either Jee Mains or WBJEE. After that, according to your score, you should go for counseling and choose your branch. There are also some facilities with direct admission but it is totally up to college management. And for taking admission you've to pass in your Higher Secondary exam with Science Stream. The admission process is very smooth and it is totally under the guidance of the college authority.

I've chosen electronics and communication engineering here and the department is quite good. There are almost 20 facilities in this department and nonteaching staff is also there for laboratory guidance and maintenance. The qualification of the teachers is quite good. Some of the facilities are well experienced with Ph.D. degrees and others are M.Tech from reputed colleges. Teaching quality is good but some of the facilities are very helpful and you can get friendly behavior and huge knowledge from them. These department faculties are very much strictly follow the rules and as a student, you've to maintain them in the class as well as in the lab.

Mini projects are done by the students under the professor's guidelines and also major projects. Our professor helps us if we get stuck somewhere in the students have to make a group of 2-4 members for projects.

Campus Placement started in the 7th semester. In the campus placement, major recruiters are IT companies like Capgemini, Cognizant, etc. Electrical students are also eligible to participate in the campus drive if they met the company criteria. Talking about core companies, they came comparatively less but hire much lesser than IT companies. But if you practice properly before your campus placement season you can crack any job according to your interest. There is lots of students who placed in off-campus placement. College TPO provides materials and guidance throughout the season but needs to improve the student placement preparation process with other academic activities so that more students can crack jobs.

When I took admission then the whole course fees in B.Tech Electrical Engineering 3.83-3.90 lakh approx. You can check updated course fees from the college website. In terms of Scholarships, if you're eligible for any scholarships college will provide that. There is no issue with college in terms of Scholarships. If you have TFW scheme admission through WBJEE counseling you don't have to pay tuition fees for the semester, only examination fees, library fees, and some charges which are actually great. A major part of your semester fees cut down.

Campus Life is cool with your batchmates. You can enjoy freedom around the campus. Semester books are given in a bunch at the start of your semester according to your syllabus from Central Library. You can also have a card to get books throughout the semester from the library which is according to your choice. The annual tech fest and the cultural fest were organized in the month of April. College also arranges sports events annually. There are gym facilities, a clubhouse, and a beautiful football ground.
