Remarks

The admission process was easy. After obtaining my jee advanced result I applied for counseling on josaa website and when I got the preferred branch I had to pay around 40000 as a seat acceptance fee. I am general so I wasn't able to avail any reservation benefits.

Course Curriculum Overview

If there was one word to describe it, it would be not up to the mark. Teachers are quite helpful but the course curriculum is quite difficult and too many assignments are a headache. As I had opted for the mining branch I am looking forward to learning some coding so as to get a better placement.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are available once you reach in 3rd year. Companies are quite good and offer PPO to some students. Some of the companies are CAIN and ONGC and Accenture. There are clubs such as NVCTI provides information and projects to do for internships.

Placement Experience

The highest package offered to a CSE student of around 1cpa by Google. Many other companies like Accenture also recruit many students from noncs branches also. This year companies like ONGC and CAIN also picked many students from petroleum and Applied geophysics.

Fees and Financial Aid

For the students whose parents are in government sector jobs and general category, it is very hard to get to get any scholarship. Fees for the 1st semester are around 120000 rupees. It includes mess, hostel and tuition fees, and other facilities. The fees are obviously very high. But there is a good opportunity for scholarships for students belonging to the SC/ST category and whose family income is less than 5lakhs. Jobs opportunities are quite good .

Campus Life

The college Library is quite vast and contains almost every book needed for the course curriculum. There are many sports as well as social clubs for personal development like foot freaks etc. Sports equipment is properly available.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are just ok as in the first year 2 people have to share a common room , but new hostels are under construction so maybe in the second year we will get single rooms per person. The food offered by mess is not home-like but quite good compared to hostel meals.

from 7th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placement there are lot of companies who used to visit our campus like microsoft gives 15 to 20 offer, amazon guves 13 to 15 offer , accenture gives a lot of offer like 30 offer and many more in recent year placement 64 lpa is highest and average of 12.5 lpa they use to offer forSDE role in last year 93.14percentage of total student get placed my plan is to get a full time job as software developer

INSIGHTS OF BIT MESRA

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem onwards students are able to face placements. Comapnies such as ZS, Deloite AB in bev microsoft visa comes here and normally takes 1-3 students. The highest package may vary from 40-50 lakhs and average is 4-5 lakhs. Internships opportunities are quite low here. In chemical enginnering only till now out of 120 students 20-30 got placed including out of campus palcements. I am hoping to do mba after pursuing the degree as there is less comapny visit for core branches.

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to sit for placements from the 7th semester.A variety of companies including TATA Steel, JSL, JPL, Samsung, TCS and ABG visit the campus.The highest package offered is to Mining branch by vedanta which is 16.5 lpa.In core branches like mechanical and electrical the placement percentage reaches to almost 80%.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is quite active and provides internship opportunities and pre-placement offers for students in their third and fourth years. It invites reputed companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Accenture, IBM, Intel, Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, and many more. The average package is about 12LPA and highest package is about 52 LPA. Branches like CSE offer even higher, lucrative packges.

Placement Experience:

Placement Experience:

The placement of IIT dhanbad is very good and it offers a average package of 24lpa with highest package of 66lpa this year. Also every year more than 70% students get placed in our college. Specially the core companies shows a lot of interest in our college like coal india, sail, gail, petroleum industries companies, mining companies , etc Average package of cse here is 28lpa with 90% placement rate. Average of electrical is 23lpa with placement rate of 80%. Similarly, every branch average package lies between 18lpa to 24lpa.

Placement Experience:

The placement season starts during 7th semester when various companies come to camous to recruit students. Top companies such as google, amazon,microsoft, coal india, texas instumentation, ONGC etc visits the campus for recruirment. Around 60 -70 percent of the students get placed every year. The highest package from the camous was about 1cr . And the average package of the college was about 15-16 lakhs Apart from the capmus placement many students apply for off campus placement for which also tge college helps.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This college is an engineering college and I choose this college for a Btech degree in civil engineering. The teacher faculty is pretty well they teach us and do many practical labs. The student ratio in my class is 50:11 which means 50 boys and 11 girls in my branch. Mainly they all are DR they have dr degrees and they method is simply not like an extraordinary teacher. In my college teacher took all the exams at timely and it is not very difficult to pass
