Remarks

The process for the course admission was based on 12th Board exam and JEE Main rank. No reservations of seats were there. College after evaluating the JEE Main rank and 12th Board percentage provides a rank based on which we can apply for the required branch, which also decides the fee structure.

In each semester usually, there are 3 exams along with internal assignments and quizzes which includes - 15 % of 2 CAT(Continuous Assessment Tests)- weightage of 30 each, - 30% 30 % of Digital Assignments, Quizzes did in class, -30% 40% of Final Assessment Tests, -40% Total -100% for each subject taught

More than 750 companies visited our campus the previous year with a dream and super dream offers but to achieve such offers is quite difficult due to high competition. The average placement of VIT Chennai is around 8 to 10 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is based on rank provided after evaluating our JEE Main Rank and 12th Board results by the branch selected. Numerous Hackathons and Webinars are conducted which provide scholarships and opportunities for financial assistance.

Campus Life

In our VIT Chennai Campus, we were provided with various diverse clubs based on music, dance, art, and all such activities Some of which are fine arts club, book club, dramatics club, enactus club, comedy club,technocrats robotics club and many more which were formed by our seniors and were quite interesting.

Hostel Facilities

We were provided with AC and NON-AC Hostels, 4-sharing, 3 -sharing, and 2- sharing each. The hostel fee structure was based on the selected type of hostel room. Three types of the mess were provided to us which is - Vegetarian Non-Vegetarian Special The Mess fee was also based on selection.

Hostel Fee: INR 160000 per year

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Placement Experience:

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

It's a good college for me.

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

because of future is EV. So I will take the EEE for a bright future 50:1 ratio level. Faculty qualification is a minimum PG and most of the faculties are complete Ph.D. each unit has a unit test it is very easy only No difficulty to get a pass.

Balanced Engineering Journey At Vit Chennai

I applied for SRM, once considered admission in LPU but finally chose VIT due it's reputation and strong placements. Other colleges which I applied for required strong jee scores for admission. Admission process in VIT is as follows:- 1) write VITEEE exam cause vit doesn't considers jee scores. 2) you must have above 60 percent in boards and above or equal to 60 percent in PCM aggregate. 3)cutoffs, past papers, closing and opening ranks are not revealed si can't say much regarding that. 4) overall admission experience was decent...Read More

Is VIT worth it

From th start of the 12th class I wanted IIT and my second option was VIT over NITs because it has very good facilities. I didn't get good marks in my JEE advance so I choose VIT. I had given exams of various other colleges like Kalinga Insititute of technology(KIT), SRM, BITSAT etc. i chose VIT as my college was because it is one of the most renowned colleges of India. VIT has a tag value of its own and it does make a difference if you add "VIT" as your college in your resume. The admission process of this college goes by giving an examination called VITEEE which is held after jee mains. The syllabus for the same is similar to jee mains and the good thing is it has no negative marking. All 12th pass students with a minimum of 60% are eligible to write this entrance test.
