Remarks

Admission in Srcc was purely based on the Class 12 Merit cut offs for the academic session 2019-20. The eligibility for B.Com (H) was a Commerce student from any board but having Maths as one of their main subjects. Cut offs were calculated on the basis of Best 4 which compulsorily had to include one Language (English/Hindi) in it. There is no special form that had to filled for SRCC, only a general DU form had to be filled with the selection of course opted for. For the latest academic year, DU wil be conducting the CUCET exam for all the courses. The application dates for the same would be out in the month of June most probably and the registration begins only after the Class 12th results have been declared accross the country, majorly a week after CBSE results.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The reason I chose B.Com (H) was because it offers a range of subjects to be studied and researched upon in the span of 3 years spanning from Marketing to Fiance to Accounting and so on. This allows one to figure out the area they want to specialise into. Due to the high number of students in SRCC, the faculty teacher ratio here generally is 1:50. We have the University's highest qualified teachers in SRCC, with maximum teachers being a PHD and others pursuing the same. No matter the qualification though, the teaching style is super amazing for most of the teachers here with India's greatest teacher Dr. Amit Sachdeva being a part of the faculty. The exams are held timely on a gap of 6 months as prescribed by the University of Delhi curriculum.

Placement Experience

5

The placements of SRCC are one of the highest rated in the country which more than 150 companies visiting campus every year and extending more than 350 offers collectively. The students become eligible to apply for internships in their Third semester and become eligible for placements in their fifth semester. I too have got a placement from the college itself and plan to join the same after my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

As compared to all the colleges of Delhi University, SRCC is among one of the highest fees colleges with an annual fee of Rs. 30,000. But as compared to all the private colleges in the country, it has the minimum fees as compared to its reputation and quality of teaching. But the best part is the n number of scholarships and fee assistance that it provides to its students with College Need Based Scholarships, Mitsubishi Scholarships, SRCC Alumni scholarships to name a few Needless to say the college also offers excellent Placement opportunities with a 100% placement rate from the past few years.

Campus Life

5

The annual fest of the college organised every year by the Students council is the Crossroads and Business Conclave. Though due to the pandemic, these fests haven't been organised for the past 2 years. All these fests are conducted in the month of February and March. In the Business Conclave there are a lot of pan nation contests held regarding the Business Aptitude. Alongside these 2 annual fests, there are about 52 societies and social cells active in the college which host their mid sem and annual fests with a plethora of competition opportunities again in the months of Jan - March for pan nation students. Maximum societies have started their registration on the D2C platform for the ease of the same. Social activities based societies like NSS, Enactus, etc. work for the society in general and kep coming up with awareness campaigns like Aarogya for menstrual sanitation, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
