Remarks
The admission procedure was easy and fine. All the documents were properly mentioned in the brochure. Here seniors helped a lot too while the admission process was going on. So there wasn't any difficulty at all. Reservation benefits are high here. And also if you have your domicile certificate, you can easily get admission here.
Course Curriculum Overview
Teachers here are all very qualified and well trained. A professor here is very friendly and supports the student's cause every time. While online classes were on we had some issues with attending classes but now since offline mode has started we can easily understand the maximum of what teachers try to explain. Teachers: student ratio here is quite good. Class tests are held regularly to review each student's progress. Teachers and students together make the best use of the resources available here.
Placement Experience
Students start getting placement offers right from the 3rd year. Many Multi-National Companies come to the campus for their on-campus drive. PPOs are provided to the students. For CSE and IT, students placements here are quite high. But for students of other departments like FTBE and Printing, it's hard for them to get good placements. As of 2021 highest package of JU was 58LPA, while the average package (which includes the average of all departments ) of JU was 10.2LPA. On average, 85% of all students get placements each year and for CSE it's 100%
Fees and Financial Aid
The semester fees are very low here. This university is considered one the best university in terms of return on investment. There's a meager fee of Rs 1250 per semester. Hostel fee is very less too. There are a lot of scholarships available here and students who fit the eligibility criteria can avail those. A tuition fee waiver is also provided to students who come from very poor families. Internships are also available and students can check them out.
Campus Life
Campus life is very fun here. There are lots of fests that are organized here annually. Sanskriti is the annual cultural fest that is organized in April. Srijan is the annual tech fest that is organized in mid-summer. Other fests like u-turns, Arena, etc are also organized. There is space for every sport here. Music Club, Dance club, photography club, and various other clubs are present on the campus. The major attraction is the mountaineering and hiking club which has its walls for practice.
