Chitkara University review

I took admission in chitkara University in 2019, eligibility was at least 50 percentile in jee mains and above 70 percent marks in physics chemistry and Maths, application forms are available in the shops that are assigned by chitkara University in many of local cities, fees for application form was 1000rs, I'm in a general category so I don't know much about the reservation criteria, probably a scholarship test should be taken in order to let students have the chance to minimize their fees.

I chose BE CSE, mostly because how the world is turning digital day by day , and I had some prior knowledge about java.The faculty is really satisfactory, most of them are helpful around almost everything.As i said faculty is qualified and the teaching methods are also good. Every semester 4 internals, 3sts and an end term of every subject takes place

Internships are available for 4-5-6 months depending on companies and I'm not yet familiar with the roles that are offered during those internships. Projects are mostly assigned by the companies themselves so I don't know about them either.

Companies usually come in the middle of the 6th semester and different keep coming until the end of the 7th semester and mass recruits come in place(they offer low salary compared to others), 40lpa was the highest package last year, almost every student gets placed by the end of the course, I plan to do MBA abroad after my bachelor's degree.

For the first-semester tuition fees is 82000 and hostel fees is 50000 and for the rest of the semesters, tuition fees is 70000 while hostel fees stay the same, Scholarship test is not available so I don't think there's any scholarship, and as I paid fees in cash only so I don't know much about the financial statuses of the fees structure.

There are an average of 2 fests per year, tech fest occurs more frequently (mostly online), a vast number of books available both academic and general, different sports and dance competitions occur every month, there are different committees for different purposes.

Hostels are clean overall, mostly 3 students stay in a room together with enough space, and the cleaning lady comes every morning. Meals are good most of the days, menus can be changed according to students' majority choices. Registration for hostels can be done while filling out the application form.
