Established in 1980, IMT Ghaziabad has been in the B-School scene for decades. It has alumni spread in top corporate positions across the world. It attracts high CAT, XAT, GMAT scorers and has been attracting excellent placements too. This year the placements at IMT Ghaziabad have skyrocketed. I’ll come to that but let’s look at things objectively. Here is the goldmine that we all waited for. For the Class of 2021, the highest offer was INR 29.32 LPA and the overall average of the entire class was INR 12.42 LPA. For the Class of 2022, the average salary has moved up to INR 15.25 LPA, a 23% hike over the last year’s. This is despite a pandemic and another on the play. The Economy is opening up and IMT G has been taking fair advantage of that.

IMT tries to get you placed. Good companies do visit the campus but they don't hire in large numbers. You can expect a salary of 9 to 12 lpa, if you do really- really well in 2 year of your stay. This college is not very good in terms of ROI. You should not consider getting in here if you are taking loan from bank. You should consider IMT only if your father is willing to pay the fee.

The challenge will be to stay in the top 50% considering the huge batch size

I am currently pursuing MBA from IMT Gaziabad and for me the overhead cost is around 10000 per month.This is over the course fee which relatively changes every year. So the total expenditure may hovers around 20 lakh and 25 lakh for the DCP batch

It really depends on the concept of a good institute. For some, a good institute is synonymous with great faculty. For others, it could mean great infrastructure. For a small section, it could mean a high ranking or a low cost (yes, it could). And yet for others, it could mean a combination of several other smaller attributes such as proximity to home, the hostel facilities, college crowd, etc. Unfortunately, in India, a college's worth is generally decided by its campus placements. If the college manages to place all its students in respectable companies with annual salaries that justify the costs involved, it is considered to be a great college. If

First of all It is one of the best B-schools in India. It used to be in Top#10 B-School 10-15 years back. But, recently IMT G ranking has come down and I blame it on poor decision by management like increasing batch strength and not having C-Level faculties. But, there seems to be a turnaround with new director who is supposed to join from 2016 session. Batch strength has also been reduced to approx. 450 from 680. Second, Infrastructure wise. It has got decent infrastructure with new buildings coming up for classes and mess. But one -Ve is that it has one dedicated hostel for 1st year students which is approx 5-6 Kms from main campus and hence detaches you a bit from that B-School environment.
