Remarks
This is neither an attempt to compare IMT Ghaziabad with other B-schools nor to boast or discredit it. Just an insider’s view, from a student of the most unconventional MBA batch, you guessed it right 2020-22, for the upcoming MBA aspirants to help in their decision to choose from their dream B-school. This is based on my experience so far till the 2nd trimester, and I will update it with future experiences.
Course Curriculum Overview
Don’t know where/what is going wrong here, but something serious is wrong. None of the top companies come here for summers or final placements, and in case some do, they are for roles different from the roles they would hire at other top schools. At one point it could have been a “Marketing” oriented college- but to live under that shadow now will be lying to yourself. None of the top marketing companies (think FMCG, media) wants to touch IMT students. Sales is a profile that usually opens up for IMT students- but here’s the sad part: One of our guest profs (he was from the industry) in the second year shared how much we lack in comparison to other B schools when it comes to sales knowledge, know how. So basically- IMT G was never known for anything apart from Marketing. Eventually, the quality came to a level in the school changed from “marketing oriented” to “sales oriented”. And now, the quality has still gone down such that the industry is saying these students are not even good.
Fees and Financial Aid
IMT takes up fees of 17.5 lacs and if you include the interest amount by the time you pass-out it will be 19 lacs include the living expenses here it will be 21 lacs, leaving 80–90 odd students in a batch of 480+120(DCP) mostly the placement below 15 lacs so sit back and give it a second thought do you wanna have this degree.
Campus Life
Since we have not been on campus yet, and it is an online environment, I have never left that I am away from campus. May it be through IMTrolled or Candid with culcom; E-cell workshops for case study competition or Academic Com’s peer session; Sports com’s online game Wars or Markups online brand wars; Finesse workshop on Financial trends, each club and committee has been contributing to the fullest to help us, thus maintaining the culture of IMT. IMT is already home to me without ever being on campus. IMT NEVER SLEEPS, it is 100% true, and it can only be possible through the culture which is so enriching and helpful.
