IMT G had a particularly good admission process. The process was handled online according to Covid 19, and they mentioned the projected time of the interview during PI dates. This information was useful because applicants didn't have to wait in front of a camera for 3-4 hours at a time. Everyone be it a fresher or work-experienced person everyone is equally treated.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was interested in marketing from my undergraduate days, as I was involved in the various events of my college, I found marketing is where I can develop my skills and would help me in my professional career. Faculty includes professors who have worked in the corporate world and they apply their experiences to the classroom so the students get more practical knowledge about the field. Term exams use case learning pedagogy to assess a student's ability to apply theoretical principal in real-world circumstances.
Internships Opportunities
Many big firms such as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, ITC, MARS ltd come for summer placements, they provide a live project which could develop students thinking and solving ability and would get a hand on experience of the practical world, while the company gets benefitted with getting new ideas from the upcoming generation.
Placement Experience
Many big firms come for summer placements. The typical salary is around 80,000 INR and the projects differ from company to company. Every student receives a job offer, 15.42 LPA is the average package size of final placements. This time, 517 students were placed in 17 days, which set a new record.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course fees for two years is 1953000, this was after a hike of approximately 2 lakhs from the previous year. But IMT also provides scholarships to the achievers and a fixed scholarship for female students
Campus Life
Passion is the cultural fest of the institute which took place on December 21. The library at IMT is particularly impressive, as it provides students with access to a wealth of e-resources as well as databases containing a huge amount of data. The institute is student-run where we have assigned clubs and committees for various tasks which would help administration. Volleyball court, football field, basketball court are some sports facilities available.
Interview Experience
The faculty who interviewed me was very calm and ensured that I was comfortable in the environment. My interview was conducted by two faculty members, who asked about my bio, current affairs, co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Reading newspapers and enrolling in a GD-PI course where they also conducted mock interviews helped me prepare for these rounds.
