Remarks

Conclusion : Its the best college and Autonomous college in North Maharashtra with little place to improve some things like Campus placements, Canteen etc.

Entrance Preview

I took MHT CET 2011 for the admission in GCOEJ. I had rank 19,270 after scoring 126 Marks. It was one of the good Government College in Maharashtra, and It is in my hometown.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I have enrolled for Computer Science and Engineering in GCOE, Jalgaon. Overall course for the 4 years was very good and enough to the level of core computer technology. 4 Computer labs are available for different subjects and purposes also one of the Lab is ready with Apple iMac PCs. Internet connectivity is superb. The college has their 16 static IP address and 100 Mbps bandwidth WiFi connectivity throughout the campus.

Internships Opportunities

No college does not provide the facility for internship in companies to CSE students until 2016 also no stipend.

Placement Experience

1

Placement is bit of disappointing till 2015 there were no companies visited the campus directly, But college has provided up to date information for OFF campus walk ins. However few companies has visited CSE department in 2016 namely, NVidia(Mock interview), Tudip technologies etc Package for Tudip Technologies was around 2.5 Lakhs per annum.

College Events

4.5

GCOE, Jalgaon has many active students so they celebrate most of the events and college does permit and help to arrange also by providing money.Technical event is Technoarena which is national technical event conducted by GCOE, Jalgaon. It is fantastic experience to work as committee head in Technoarena and to handle national event where participants join us across the India. Also there are cultural, management festivals as well annually.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is very feasible as it is government college,When I was a student fees were 5500rs per year for OBL NCL.and 25,000 for general category students. They do provide scholarships and freeships.Fee structure for 2015-2016 is as follows categorywise: Open : ~ Rs. 60,000Open(STC,TFWS,PTC etc): ~Rs. 47,000OBC etc: ~Rs. 28,000SC/ST : ~Rs. 1900

Fees and Financial Aid

Many good scholarship / loan facility are offered by Government College of engineering, Jalgaon such as Bharat Sarkar,Samaj kalyan etc.

Campus Life

4

Number of cultural and technical groups are working in college. Campus is spread in enough of wide area. Auditorium construction in progress and libraries are so good. gender ration is almost equal in college, whole campus has enough greenery and good infrastructure. There are many extracurricular activities like,Technoarena technical fest, Gathering, Sports week,Freshers,Farewells etc etc

Hostel Facilities

1

There was not mess facility until 2016.You can say there was no Canteen until 2016, as it was complete waste and Unhygienic. However you can enjoy canteen of Government polytechnic which is nearby it was descent.Hostel rooms were good. They have provided Table and chair to study, and Cot to sleep for every student. One room is shared by Two students. There are 2 boy's hostel and 1 girl's hostel.Hostel's also has Wifi enabled.Fee structure: Details Amount (Rs)1 Caution Money Deposit 10002 Hostel Maintenance Fees 15003 Hostel Electric Maintenance Charges 5004 Other (Medical and University fee) 755 Mess Charge per month 1250Total Fees 4325Boys Hostel Mess is managed by students committee and runs on contract basis. The monthly charges for Mess:- Rs. 1250/-

Alumni/Alumna

Senior student are very helpful to us when we reach out to them. They are like friends to us and they help us out when we need their help.

Exam Structure

Exam's structure was very well balanced so that student does not have to face any issues. They don't leave a hectic day for students and provide enough of time for rest and preparation of next scheduled paper which were conducted by North Maharashtra University but now its more convenient because college is "Autonomous".

Faculty

4

Faculty of the CSE department and Applied department is good all of those had Master degree and some of them have qualified through MPSC. They are also helpful while studying and Now as the college is autonomous they have set very good and updated syllabus and assignments for the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.

All faculty members are well-qualified and experienced. The course is very vast but the teaching faculty cover it through their extra lectures and practicals.
