Remarks
The admissions process went smoothly. Applications are accepted through CAT, XAT and GMAT scores. The application deadline is generally a day before the CAT exam. Post the application, candidates are shortlisted based on their profiles and entrance exam scores. There is generally a cutoff of around 90%ile for CAT and XAT scores. Due to the pandemic, the admission process and interviews were conducted online. Some of my peers faced the issue that they were not offered the specialisation they applied for. For e.g. some students opting for Marketing were allotted Finance seats and vice-versa.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is quite extensive and covers a lot of different topics in the first two semesters only. The first two semesters include subjects from all specialisations. Specific specialisations are offered after the 2nd semester. The faculty is very qualified and professional. There is generally a batch of 500+ students including the DCP and the BFS batch. The evaluation process includes a more than 50% weightage for internals in most subjects.
Internships Opportunities
For the 2020-22 batch, the average stipend for summer internships offered was Rs. 60,000 per month and the highest stipend was Rs. 3,00,000 per month. Short term projects are offered throughout the year in various corporates across domains.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for summer internship placements and final campus placements after the 2nd and 4th semester respectively. For the 2020-22 batch, the average CTC offered was Rs. 15.28 LPA, with the highest package of Rs. 62 LPA. The entire batch of 517 students was placed in a record 17 days. Personally, I would prefer to work in the Consulting sector post the completion of the program.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no fee hike policy and the admission fees include all other expenses. The college premises offer all the basic facilities that may be required. Therefore, the cost to study (other than the fees) is nil. The college also offers summer placements opportunities in corporates across domains such as Finance, Marketing, Operations. The average summer internship stipend for the 2022 batch was Rs. 60,000.
Campus Life
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the entire library has been made available online which includes books, research papers, journals etc. The classes have been online so far. Campus grounds are huge and all sports including Cricket, Football, Volleyball are played. There are multiple student-run clubs such as MarkUp (the marketing club), Finesse (the finance club), MADF (Make a Difference Foundation), THROB (the HR club) etc.
