IIIT Surat Review

I was looking for a college with a low crowd and with good education standards luckily during my JOSAA counselling I was given an option with IIIT Surat and NIT Srinagar I went with IIIT Surat because with IIIT Surat I was getting the course in which I was interested as the college was totally new with no past record I was little scared but I the college became one of the best decision of my life as the faculty were really qualified high on experience, the education quality of the college was really wonderful which I really did not expect. The college environment was very positive and competitive with lots of activity.

The college is itself new so it was obvious that the curriculum would be the latest and as per new industry guidelines. The curriculum covers all the topics regarding the technological changes in recent times around the world. The curriculum provides lots of insight and details regarding computer programing and coding. The faculty is really wonderful I was literally shocked by the amount of knowledge that our faculty have. They are very much qualified and expert that they can literally explain everything while sleeping also. The expertise and the experience standards of the faculty are literally unmatched.

The internship is a very important part of the curriculum as after completing the internship we also have to submit a written assignment regarding the learning and experience of the internship. The college is new but the college was able to invite a good number of companies to take part in the college summer internship program. The average stipend for an internship was around 50k.

There was nothing to expect from the college in terms of placement as the college has no past record and we are one of the part of first batch of the college. But we were confident enough because the teaching and education quality of the college is very good and because of it few of our batchmates received pre-placement offers. The highest package went up to around 40 LPA and the average package remained around 10 LPA.

State and central funded scholarships program are available. The college also has an education loan facility. Currently, the average annual fee of the B.Tech program is around 1.50 lakh which means total fees will be around 6 lakh and the college provides an average salary package of around 10 LPA so the return on investment of the college was very good.

The college has a very good vibe. The college classrooms are good and proper seating arrangements were made and the classrooms were properly ventilated. Currently, the college is operating from Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT). As currently, the college is operating from Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) university so we can use the college facilities also like we can be part of their annual programs and sports competitions. We can also use the college library so most of the facility for IIIT Surat is from Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT).

The hostel mess facility is also from Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) so the quality of food has no complaint the food is good and healthy. The wardens are professional and the hostel staff is properly trained to maintain the hostel discipline. The hostel has 24 hours of power and water supply. The rooms are fully furnished with bed, almirahs and study table.
