All About NIT Nagpur

There will be a national-wide exam JEE mains (Joint entrance exam) by which we can get admission in India's Top colleges IIT's, NIT's, IIIT's, GFTI's. The students who are from science backgrounds are eligible for this exam. You can find the application form on their main website jeemain.nta.nic.in. A month before your examination you will receive the admit card in which your examination center and date of the exam are mentioned. Generally, the cutoff for JEE main examination is 90 percentile for general category, 72 percentile for OBC, 50 and 40 percentile for SC and ST respectively. If you get good enough rank you can get admission into top colleges in India by the counseling process JOSSA in which you have to apply your preferred college list according to the availabe seats you will get your respective college seat.

I am pursuing my B.Tech degree in Chemical Engineering. It is a very good core branch. Those who have an interest in Physics, Maths, Chemistry will enjoy the fundamentals of this course. In VNIT the faculty members are very good some of them are in the top 2% of scientists in the world. There is an 8:1 faculty ratio in VNIT. Most of the faculty have PhD in this course and most of them are from top colleges like IIT kgp, NIT Warangal, etc. In VNIT Nagpur the examination process is like 40 marks for internal marks in which 20 marks for viva and 20 marks for assignments, quizzes, tests, etc . 25 marks for mid examination (sessional examinations). 35 marks for End Semester exertional total of 100 marks.

After completion of the 2nd year of our course, you will be eligible for internship opportunities. You can opt for a core internship as well as a noncore. And also you can work under the prof in research as research internship.

There is a decent placement record in our college nearly average package is 8 LPA. After completion of the 2nd year, you are eligible for internship opportunities and after the 3rd year you will be eligible for placements in our college. Most of the top companies will be there for placements like Amazon, Goldman sacks, Morgan Stanley. The highest package is 42 LPA till now, most of the students will appear for placements and some of them opt for higher studies . you can do anything you wish to do.

In VNIT Nagpur the annual fee is 135000 rs for 2 semesters. The students whose annual income is less than 1 lakh rupees will receive a scholarship in which the total fee will be waived. The students who's annual income is less than 2 lakh rupees will receive 2/3 of the total fees and 1/3 of total fees for who's annual income is less than 5 lakh rupees. For SC and ST categories there will be a scholarship.

There will be an annual fest named aarohi it is a cultural fest, there will be a very big library in which different most of the useful books are present you can go and read any time in between 8 AM to 6 PM. There are 3 very big grounds for cricket football and there is a swimming pool near the VNIT campus those who are interested in learning swimming can go. There are alot of clubs in VNIT of different interests. There is a coding club, Robotics club, Drama club, Dance club, etc.
