Remarks
Admission is through JEE Advanced. All details regarding admission such as application form, fees and dates are provided on iitbhu.ac.in the official site of the college. The admission process is mostly online and one only needs to submit the important documents such as 10th 12th marksheets, medical certificate etc. In hard copy form.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course due to my keen interest in physics and its underlying principles. Faculty in my branch is nearly equal to the number of students. The faculty is all Ph.D. with good and relatable teaching methods and proper doubt clearance. Term exams are held every 2-3 months and they are moderately difficult to pass.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are offered in research core as well as non-core fields with decent stipends and nice experience. But as it is a research-based branch, more opportunities for research internships from Indian as well as foreign universities are available.
Placement Experience
By the end of the 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. The highest package 2020-21 was 28 LPA and the median package was 19 LPA. A fairly high percentage of students get placed every year from my branch. In 2012-13, 30 companies opened up for a sanctioned strength of 20 students.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure is moderate and there is a scholarship for students with lower income. Also, there are ample opportunities for jobs and internships in IIT BHU with good stipends. The course is affordable and provides you with many opportunities for future research.
Campus Life
There are many fests such as Technex, Kashiyatra, Spardha, FMC Weekend, and so on conducted throughout the year. There is also a vast variety of club activities to choose from. The libraries and classrooms are also good with all the necessary facilities.
