Remarks

Overall the college is great and awesome in terms of food, placements, internships, social life, projects, tech fests etc. For me I think its the best college in India.

Entrance Preview

I took IIT JEE and scored 250 marks in it. I was looking for a good college with good placements in computer science engineering. I knew that DTU (then DCE) is offering high packages to its students. I knew I cant make out to IITs so I chose this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course structure is awesome. DTU has a comprehensive, regularly updated program. The content and structure of each course is left up to the professor teaching it. Evaluation for most courses is continuous, and grading is relative. We don't study physics and chemistry because it's not required for advanced studies in COE, and focus instead on courses that you'll generally find in the third year of most CS undergraduate programs. Research opportunities at DTU are abundant.

Internships Opportunities

Ofcourse yes. We had great internship experience in big MNCs, like Microsoft, Flipkart, Facebook. With every year the internships are increasing.

Placement Experience

5

In my time students were offered 50lacs> jobs. It was quite high. Now also DTU is offering 1cr packages to many of its students. Google has approached an Delhi Technology University (DTU) fresher and offered him a whopping Rs 1.27 crores. Atleast seven students had got 70lacs packages. This time around, according to a report by the Times of India, Facebook has approached an Delhi Technology University.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its midway. Its around Rs 87000 per year. One can get a lilltle fee waiver if the person belongs to SC, ST or OBC. Overall the fees is ok in comparison to other colleges. There is a little hike in fees every year. The fees is a little different from other branches as well.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no scholarship offer actually. But loans are available. The banks are there near te college. Further ATM is provided in college itself. One can avail loans any time.

Campus Life

4

There are 5 girls per 15 boys in a classroom ratio. The tech life is awesome. The dance clubs, Nukkad Natak. There is no politics in DTU, no ragging. But the teachers are quite strict (some of them). There are many student activities that can be seen around the corner, like hacking, making cool gadgets etc.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The mess food is great. I still remember it. Facilities in the hostel are not so great, actually not at all great. There is a small medical hospital also but of no use. The chairs are broken, taps leaking, stray dogs everywhere.Overall the scenery from the hostel is great. So I would say hostels are good, but not great.

Alumni/Alumna

No not at all. DTU doesnt have very good alumni network, but a few of them are great including actors, IAS officers.

Exam Structure

The exams are quite exhausting. I dont like at all in DTU. With just one gap between the exams. I dont like the exams much. If someone gets a back, he can again give the exam in 3th or 4th year with a fine of Rs500.The exams are hectic as well. But at the end the pattern is easy and not much difficult. MOst of the questions are repeated every year. So one can get the paper before in hands from other students.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of DTU is excellent. We have professors with PhDs from institutes of repute from around the world, who are very active in their research. Since they're very well-versed with their respective sub-fields of CS, they're all pretty good at teaching, with the very infrequent exception. Most professors are quite young, having recently completed their PhDs, and are very approachable.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
