Mtech integrated Software(5yrs) engineering, VIT Chennai.

There is no entrance exam for this integrated program in VIT. Basically, they select students with 12th board marks. The minimum criteria are 65% in PCM. The major criteria are you want to be an Indian citizen, not NRI. You can find the application on vit official website vit.ac.in. The admission process is very neat and flexible.

The course curriculum is like a world-class one. You can choose your own faculties and timetable for your wish. VIT is more flexible than many colleges. Every teaching faculties are done with their Ph.d. So there is no need to worry about faculty. There are two cats and one fat for theory subjects and 1 FAT for lab courses. Also, there are many quizzes in between for internal marks.

Internships are very good. You can even complete your last 2 or 3 years abroad through the exchange program. As for now most of the companies come here for internships, The better chance they convert the intern student into permanent employees. The vast field of computer science provides greater opportunities. As in internship, you will get a salary of Rs. 10K to Rs. 50K.

For Mtech integrated the placements are from the 4th year. As you get an internship in the last year in any case the company converts the intern into an employee. So the placement is very good. Avg package of this course will differ from year to year. You have great skill you will get placement above 10 Lakhs per anumn.

The fee is based on your category. For eg, If you are selected in 1st category then fee for MTech int will be 96000 per year incase of the 2nd category then it will be 1.5L, the third category will be 2.0L. You can get a loan from a bank otherwise there is no scolorship for this course.

As far I am not going to campus everything is online. But with the pics, videos of campus, and knowledge from seniors. It is a vast campus of around 150 acres with Good facilities. The library is huge with 2 floors. About sports, maximum every sport are in college campus you can play during free hours. Also, there are official teams. There are so many clubs in VIT. You will get the info abt that once you select on the campus.

The hostel is pretty nice compared to other campuses. Meals are of high quality both veg and non-veg are available. Also, special mess is there. Registration for hostel or freshers is based on timing randomly. But from nd year onwards it is with ur GPA scored in SEM. There are many PGs available near the campus you can check it in that locality.
